Lien Hotel (Beijing Gongti Dongsishitiao Subway Station)

The hotel prides itself on catering primarily to foreigners. Most of the staff speaks English, the hotel is also clean by western standards and kept very neat. The included breakfeast is fine, by Chinese standards it would be small, but by western it would be very solid. The location is good as well, some sights within walking distance as well as parks. We for one example spent some quality time in Reitan Park just south of the hotel as well as some good shopping on the way (Several of the centers there have a heavy Russian influence, but they're still the Chinese market style shopping mall you find all over). We quite enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Beijing. The downside, if you can call it that is that it's a little tricky to find the entrance, but not to the point I would call it overly difficult. There is a sign to the hotel from the main road close by. Use the metro to Dongsi Shitiao and use exit D. Go east along the main road Gongrentiyuchang Beilu (towards workers gymnasium/stadium) and you'll see the sign within a few minutes. Enjoy your stay!
