8 reviewsWe are a middle aged couple doing a self guided bicycle tour on the Carratera Austral. After several days of riding we decided to treat ourselves to a night in a hotel in Coihaique to refresh and resupply before heading south. A local recommended Hotel Austral. We were greeted by the owners, Fidel & Lidia, and were made to feel right at home. Our room had everything we wanted; a comfortable bed, a great, hot shower, fast WIFI and a nice breakfast the next morning, included in the reasonably priced cost of the room. We joked about moving in because it was so nice. Then my partner got sick, like so many do when traveling abroad. That's when our friendly owners turned into super heroes. They went WAY above and beyond over the next few days, attending to our needs and helping us through the illness as if we were family. We hope you don't need any super hero services while visiting Coihaique but know you will love the friendly, clean accommodations, and comfort of Hotel Austral.
