Location perfect for touring Old Quebec City. Festive atmosphere right across from ice rink with music playing throughout the day (only cost was skate rental). The staff very friendly and helpful as well as the concierge. We made calls before our trip and all questions answered. I would only stay here should I return to Old Quebec City which we as a family all loved.

Best hotel in Old Quebec City

1) The hotel location is excellent, right at the entrance of the historical center, so easy to access by car (with a public parking across the street), and walking distance to the city main attractions.
2) Staff is supper friendly and very helpful.
3) The hotel is even more beautiful and well maintained than it appeared to be by the photos in the website.
4) The 2 restaurants and the bar are excellent options if you prefer to stay in the hotel for dining and drinks.

Best option to visit Quebec City.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Capitol hotel in Old Quebec City.  The hotel is in a great location, convenient to restaurants and within walking distance of the river.  Both of our rooms were spacious and clean.  Beds were extremely comfortable.  The bathrooms were larger than most, giving us ample space to place our toiletries.  We loved the Nespresso machines in our rooms, such a convenience not to have to go to a coffee shop early in the morning.   Hotel personnel were efficient and cordial.  The concierge at the hotel went out of her way to help us out with a predicament for which we were very grateful.  Thank you for your efforts and making our stay a memorial one for our family of 5.

Wonderful Stay for Family of Five

I am not sure I can highlight how truly amazing this hotel was, but I will try.
As a business owner myself, I understand that great employees is what contribute to a thriving business; and this is definitely where Le Capitole excels.
Don't get me wrong, the decor is also fantastic, the hotel is exquisitely clean and well appointed, and the rooms are comfortable and spacious (stayed in room 705); but the people make the difference.
I first contacted the concierge team several months ago, to start planning my wife's 40th birthday surprises.
Louise Roy diligently worked with me to come out with a plan that was within my budget and still provided the "wow" factor I was hoping for.
The Team at Le Capitole wasn't just helpful in conception, but in execution they knocked it out of the park! Louise was off for the weekend, but Israel had everything under control!
While my wife had a massage, Israel set up an intimate lunch (charcuterie and wine) in our room. And then again when we were out for dinner he snuck in to have the room cleaned and then set up the final surprise (balloons, flowers, wine and chocolate!).
The dedication and attention to detail to have all the balloons lined up like little soldiers was next level (and crazy difficult, we tried after unintentionally messing them up).
Nothing can properly convey my gratitude to the care the Team took in making sure my wife's birthday was exceptional!

Beyond expectations!

This hotel is beautifully done, clean and ideally located. Our room was gorgeous! We were upgraded to a room with a bathtub in the bedroom. We also had two bathrooms. Everything was so beautifully done! Israel, the Assistant Concierge was kind, knowledgeable and helpful. He went above and beyond for us! We can't wait to come back!

I loved that check-in was on the 7th floor because the view was magnificent

We stayed in a very comfortable 2 room suite on the 8th floor. It had stunning views of old Quebec.
