very cool location.. almost downtown. very nice staff.... nice, clean but a bit price the room... but the rest was just wonderful thank you guys. the reception was very helpful with giving tipps and advices.

We rented a car at the airport in Belo Horizonte, never been in Ouro Preto before, we had previously reserved the room online. When I saw the location and the layout I was really glad we chose it rather than another hotel, by far the best for access and convenience. They have great service, attention to detail, breakfast and friendliness. One can park in front of the room, like in many hotels in the states.

Had a good week at the Boroni Palace

I arrived there unexpectedely for easter holliday and the hotel fare was higher than usual (R$350,00). One can find better places to stay in Ouro Preto for R$270,00 or less.  But I cannot complain, except that the only room left was on the last floor (lots of stairs). Regular breakfast was included.

Nice hotel, clean, newly furnished.

Boronia Palace Hotel  Ouro preto blazil 
My friend and me stayed Boronia Palace 4 nights at march 2009.
I like their nice breakfast and clean room. We can take a bus  to Ouro preto center, Mariana, Ouro Branco. To Tiradentis Squar  only 10 min by walk. But it maybe hard to carry your big bag.

We stayed 4 nights,when we arrived at 8 AM, we could chek in our twin room. It was so nice after 7H night bus from RIO.
When you want to stay this hotel, they will show the room.Evry room are deferant ,so you should check befor pay.

Hotel is across the road from the rodoviario so  very practical if you arrive very late or very early by bus (as we did) but therefore not in the centre of town, 5-10 minute walk from the Tiradentes square.
Booked here because my other choices, pousadas that were more  in town centre, had no availability when I emailed two weeks before arriving.
Stayed there in a comparatively "off season" (July) so hotel appeared to be not very busy (maybe more used by business travellers who can't get into the Niemeyer designed hotel in town centre?)
Hotel comfortable, but not very inspiring but that may also be because it was Brazilian winter so lower temperatures so felt a little "cold" in more than one sense.  No restaurant so had to find elsewhere for evening meals.  
Had (previously unencountered, at least by me) system which meant that you had to put the room key into a docking station in the room so that the electrics in the room worked.  This was explained to me but my Portuguese is probably not sufficient for me to have registered the information completely.
