Very nice place to have lunch, good menu and drinks choice, delicious food, fast service and friendly personnel. The restaurant is located in very city centre, so it's easy to find. I highly recommend it.

Lunch

We arrived at the hotel and received a nice and warm welcome. Keeping in mind that it is a family hotel we were surprised to received such attention. They always try to do their best to help out. I had an issue to connect to the wifi with my laptop. I was surprised to get my problem solved by the daughter of the hotel ! She found out that it was a IP address issue on my laptop and this advice and solution helped me on my future hotel stay !
The breakfast was continental and everything that I wanted was there. Simply access to your room and main door with a Key card.
My room was very clean and the beddings was so comfy ! Make sure that you request a room on the back side if you are looking for a "zero" noise stay as the front rooms will give you a beautiful view of the center of Spa you might hear a little bit of the city but it's not bothering at all !
They have a vending machine at decent price (to not say cheap).. I was impressed !
I really recommend this hotel for whoever wants to have an amazing stay in the heart of a beautiful city.
1minute away from the thermal spa, the casino, many restaurants,...

I'll definitely go back there !  Such a nice city with nice people !



In the heart of Spa

I recently stayed at the Hotel Cardinal this summer during a business trip. Now I do my fair share of travelling around the world staying in a variety of different hotels, but most of the time I don’t get around to writing a review on TripAdvisor because the hotel is uninspiring. The Hotel Cardinal is not one of those.
I could write about its wonderful location, excellent breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms or even its great Wi-Fi coverage and internet speed, but other patrons have done justice to those features. What compels me to write this review is the staff and its owners. Maybe it’s because I mostly stay in well-known chain hotels with well-oiled services that when I come upon a welcoming family run hotel I get inspired. There wasn’t a single person I met at the Cardinal that wasn’t friendly, pleasant and professional, even though the hotel was full during my stay and they were all clearly busy. I especially appreciated the daily breakfast talks with one of the owners, chatting with me as if I was an old regular and had been coming there for years. For a seasoned traveler like myself, there’s nothing better.

Great family run hotel

Stayed at the Cardinal during the Spa 6 Hour motor race.

My first stay here and I have to say that the hotel is lovely, the rooms are spacious, bathrooms clean and very functional. Breakfast is good, although I could do with more coffee! 

The decor may not be to everyone's taste but the quality of the fixtures and fittings are standing up well to the ravages of time. 

I would recommend the Cardinal to all! 

Nice hotel, just what we needed!!

Great view from the breakfast room on the main road where weekend events such as oldtimer rallies can be watched. Room windows have good noise isolation. Bus stop in front. Hotel design is a very nice individualistic combination of solid end 19th century architecture with recent illusionist wall paintings adapting the style of 18th century landscape painting.
