Nice hotel, quite a long way (about 3km) from the town centre and beaches. Dinner menu is very good, food was excellent. Breakfast was also good with plenty of choice. Only negatives, the hotel is on a very busy main road so a little noisy. Room was clean and tidy but a little dated, could do with a refresh. Staff very friendly.

Great food, rooms a little dated

I emailed the hotel and asked if they had smokng rooms, they emailed me back to say yes, when we arrived we were informed by a Lady that the hotel did not have smoking rooms I showed her a copy of the email and again she said that the hotel does not hav smoking rooms, I asked to see the manager she then telephoned the manager and we were given a smoking room ???, The hotel is not disable friendly no disable parking and the rooms are on the first floor with no lift, the room was clean, the hotel is a 5 minute drive from the city centre, there are shops near by, after looking at the hotel web site we decided to have breakfast at 14 Euros each when we sat for breakfast we were the only persons in the breakfast room so they did not prvide a buffet and we were given a plate with cheese and chopped pork and different type jams a basked of different type bread at 14 Euros each I was not too happy however when we went to pay for our stay we were only charged for one breakfast. the hotel has fee Wifi.

Would we stay again YES

Versatile, quality establishment with hotel, restaurant, tea room, meeting & banquet facilities. We enjoyed the reasonably-priced menu of the day. Courteous service. Fine cuisine !  Professional touch ! Highly recommended ! Ample (free) parking!

Pleasant lunch in shopping district

We arrived at 6pm on motorcycle s , plenty of parking,family room , clean , compact . We were asked whether we were eating on arrival , but we d had late dinner. But they needed to know there n then . We were offered a table at 7 pm but no other and bar would close as soon as last people left restaurant. There was no refreshments in room so once we d taken luggage up , had to ride into Ostend for a drink n food . Breakfast was good though 

Average hotel with parking

This hotel-restaurant is having different banquet rooms for smaller or bigger groups. There is no problem to park your car as there is enough space, also at the neighbour stores. During summer you can also enjoy apero in the garden or on the terrace. The service is friendly, but if there are different groups, it can take some time until the food is getting served. Due to this fact, the meal isn't always warm enough. The food is good, but nothing outstanding. Overall you can eat a decent meal for an acceptable price. 

Sunday afternoon

After a long 4.5 drive from Normandy i finally arrived at this Hotel to be faced with no parking.. after driving around 4 times i managed to get a space much to the disgust of sombody trying to come in the wrong way !
I arrived in the reception & managed to get sombodies attention through the very busy restaurant , i was then read the riot act on what i must do and what i mustnt do , im not quite sure what type of clients they are used to having !
So anyway , i climbed the very iffy & potentially slippy marbleish stairs to my room , on entering the room i was greeted by a very dull almost 70's look room with a slight musty smell which clearly was trying to be hiden as the window was wide open , so ... i put my bag on one of the very narrow single beds and proceded to wind down , after around 10mins i went down stairs to try and get a drink of any description as i was a little dehydrated , i stood at the entrance to the restaurant when a member of staff quickly came and ushered me away ... "yes yes ... can i help .. this is a private function you shouldnt be here !!!"
Ok ... i advised her all i wanted was a drink... to be informed again ..." no no this is a private function you cant come in ... " 
All i wanted was to try and get a drink & take a look around the hotel i advised her, what followed quite simply stunned me !
" the hotel is upstairs the restaurant is closed you have to go elswhere"
So the hotel consisted of a very short dark alley with around 8 or so rooms of it i assumed due to that response from her , i asked where i can get anything to eat or mainly drink ... after a shrug of shoulders i was informed "town" , this was the final straw to be honest , i turned and headed back up the dark stairway informing her it looks like i have deffinatley made the wrong chouice of "hotel"
I then proceeded to sit in the musty room for around 20mins searching for a "real hotel" which i found would be back in France , not a problem ... just get me out of this place.
So i brought my bags back down the stairs trying my best not to slip & break my neck and loaded my car .
On returning to the reception to hand my key back the very helpful staff member was nowhere to be seen , so i waved a hand at a girl behind the "closed bar" across the busy room , i was then ignored so i went back to lock my car where i was greeted by the owner i assume , i offered my key to him and advised him i was leaving , again he went on about "you must take the key " and went into the riot act again on why i need a key ... i explained no "im leaving  ... checking out ... im going" he looked very confused at this comment and asked why ... i briefley listed why ... 
1 : rude staff
2 : closed restaurant
3  :musty room
4  :matted hair in the sink
5  :treated like a prisoner

To which he replied ... we have good reviews !!! 
A very programmed response if im honest ! no other comment or resolution was offered !
OK... you need to pay he advised ,even though i had not used any of the "advertised facitlies"
so anyway , i paid but under protest , its not as if the hotel was even fully booked ... well apart from the "restaurant" that is .
It was worth paying just to get me away from this place .
No apology or anything was offered , very strange practice if you ask me.

After 30mins or so i arrived at the new hotel which was half the cost of Groeneveld and offered an "open bar , open restaurant & very friendly and helpful staff"

This has really put me off ever making the journey to Belgium again , stay in France !!!!
