It is simply idyllic - the apartments have been lovingly renovated by the owners using largly reclaimed wood and items from the original property. There is a stock of wood by the fire enough to keep any winter evening toasty, and if that isn't enough there is a sauna in each of the bedrooms. The bar area downstairs is built in the old cellar and is full of character...in addition to the selection of beers, wines and spirits. The apartments are about a 5-10 minute walk from the main ski lift area, passing a few cafes serving hot chocolate and on the way. Though there are not many ski slopes, Rauris is within a half hour drive of Zell am See and other larger ski areas. If you are looking for somewhere to relax and completely unwind in an unspoiled village, this is the place.
