Everything was perfect: welcoming and friendly hosts, really nice room (type A) with balcony, tasty breakfast, all great facilities (ski shoe room, ski room, parking spaces, sauna area), quietness and wonderful location.
I was really impressed with how well everything was organized/well-thought: starting with breakfast tables with guest names on them, through room's decorations/amenities/design and finishing with all common areas arrangements.

I would love to come back there one day. 
Definitely 5/5 and highly recommended place to stay in.

Perfect place - highly recommended

My husband and I booked a last minute one night trip to visit friends who were skiing for a week in Obergurgl. I found this hotel on line and the reviews were excellent. 
We were not disappointed. Elizabeth, the daughter of the owner, welcomed us in the most friendly manner. The hotel is small and quiet and very nicely decorated in simple fashion. The room was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was excellent in a lovely dining area. They don’t serve dinner here but there are many good places to eat within a couple of minutes walk. Me met mama who is 82 and still working front of house! It is very nicely placed just outside the main hub of the village and only a 5-10 minute walk into the main hub. We can highly recommend Hohenfels. 

A delightful family hotel

Just a fantastic resort and lovely friendly family run hotel. Elizabeth and Harold and their lovely mother run the hotel to a very high standard. Gerald runs the bar and stocks some fabulous wines.  Great skiing perfect runs to suit all abilities. Great for children the Espirit team who look after the children are brilliant.

White Christmas in wonderland fabulous 

Stayed with a large party of 21. This is a family run hotel and the owners are especially friendly. Breakfast was good and rooms were of a good size. Great view from the balcony looking out onto the slopes. Directly opposite the ski hire shop and there is a small grocery shop also. The gondola is over the road and you can ski pretty much back to the door of the hotel. Only a short walk to nearby bars and restaurants. Thoroughly recommend this hotel and will stay again. The hospitality made it really. 

A fantastic base in Obergurgl 

This was our second visit to the hohenfels. It is a lovely, welcoming family run B&B. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Location is great for the Festkogl lift and means it is effectively ski in/ski out. 

Second visit and had a great time

This hotel is excellent choice in Obergurgl. Very close to ski lifts and mini-market across the street. Rooms are clean and breakfast is very good. You have a dedicated table with a name tag at breakfast for the entire stay. The staff is very nice and helpfull. Have stayed in this hotel two times. Will stay again if travelling to Obergurgl.

Ski trip to Obergurgl staying at Hohenfels

We visited here for apres ski drinks recently and found it to be quite cosy and comfortable but were put off by the loud blaring music.
Good seating area and warm welcome.Located at the Hochgurgl end of town.
