This accommodation is incredible! It is compact but this is absolutely not a problem. We were so very well looked after. Our landlady was absolutely delightful; she was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and so nothing seemed too much trouble. One set of skis and luggage failed to reach the airport and she happily offered to stay in and sign for it at any time of day or night! 
Views are amazing and there is plenty of parking off road. There is an easily accessible dry ski store and the hotel is close to the ski slopes so no need to get up and gulp those delicious bread rolls our hostess organised!
The apartments are clean and well appointed with plenty of cooking materials in the one with a kitchen. It's impossible to fault this gem. We will go back.

A land lady from heaven

I have stayed one week at Haus Brunneck. In a few words: it was wonderful, from email contact prior to arrival. actual physical arrival, throughout the stay until departure.

What struck me the most was how kind and friendly the host (Annalise) is, both in digital contact as well as during the actual stay. We felt extremely welcome and well taken care of. 

Our appartment was clean, spacious and fully equipped, from oven to microwave to dish washer. In addition, towels + soap were provided. Also, it was possible to order fresh bread every day.

The location is, in my opinion, ideal. Although it is a 20-30 minutes walk to Warth (hill!), there is a great view on the village of Warth and the mountains. If you are looking for a quiet true Austrian experience, Haus Brunneck is an option to seriously consider.

We stayed during the winter season. There was a room to store skis + ski boots and there is a daily commute service to the ski slopes.

There are hardly any downsides I can think of. The only thing I can think of is that the hill on which Haus Brunneck is located is quite steep. Although the road upwards seemed well prepared (removal of snow, salt on the tarmac), I can imagine that with heavy snow fall snow chains are required. Note that the area in general may require the use of snow chains after heavy snow fall.

Views are awesome, location perfect for outdoor activities, accommodation brilliant, hostess took great interest in our family and took care of us really well. So much so in fact that we have arranged to go back to Haus Brunneck in March to go skiing! House is situated nearly 5000 feet up in the Austrian Alps - higher than the tallest peak in the UK! Simply stunning location with beautiful vistas from every room and balcony. Warth town seems fairly quiet in summer, and it's off the normal UK summer tourist trail - I don't recall seeing another UK car or British tourist all week! I am told the resort comes alive in winter ski season, I look forward to finding out in March when we return! It's also close enough to have day trips to Italy, Germany and Lichtenstein / Switzerland as we did. Well worth a stay.

A little gem high up in the heart of the Austrian Alps - thoroughly recommended!
