Loved my stay here! I'm only not giving 5 star as the restaurant is permanently closed, and we were only informed this AFTER we had booked and paid. I think the restaurant would make it a 5 plus star stay. The room was very spacious and beautiful.  Everything was clean, and had everything we needed.

Beautiful stay

After I booked I received a message advising the restaurant and bar are closed permanently. Bit of a let down as there’s nothing else within walking distance. 
However…. The room was simply beautiful. Large room with a big comfy bed, blockout curtains, massive bathroom with the best shower you’ll find, and it was all immaculately clean. 

A couple of things we didn’t like: 
After hours check in was confusing. We were looking for the “keypad” and eventually realised it’s a digital one and doesn’t light up till you touch it. Took us half an hour to get in.
Tried calling the mobile number but it was switched off. 
No doormat at the rear door. We felt horrible as we walked dirt in over the carpet. 
TV antenna must’ve been faulty as half the channels were scratchy and couldn’t be watched. 
The location means only 2-3 restaurants will deliver dinner so be prepared to drive. 

Overall it is a magic place and such a shame it’s not running at full capacity with bar and restaurant.

The rooms are huge, beautifully decorated, with fantastic bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The owners and staff couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. It was great to find out the history of the old buildings.  Definitely highly recommended

Could not rate this place high enough!!!
Expensive but has all the little touches that make it great.
Super friendly staff, huge clean rooms, comfy bed, breakfast basket in the fridge.
Great beer garden.

Night off

We had a magnificent weekend there for a birthday. The host, Keppler, was very welcoming and his friendliness and personal attention was brilliant throughout. The rooms are luxurious and there was even a carafe of Port in the corridor to help with the short trip back to the room! There is a great atmosphere in the bar, outdoor areas and the restaurant. Great range of food which was faultless. All in all, it was a great weekend and we would highly recommend it for any occasion. We'll be back soon!

Birthday Weekend

Enjoy a summers evening in graet garden  top menu great service and Bonnie the manager is ace at cocktails some of the old style ones ie a proper whisket sour winter time head inside warmth of a log great restaurant

Stayed one night as we had a family party in the area. We were delighted with the size of the rooms and the en suite, also very clean. The manager arranged a taxi to pick us up and then collect us again at the end of the night to return to the Inn, he couldn't have been more helpful. As the taxi was a little late arriving to pick us up he offered us a complimentary drink as we were having a drink in the outside bar area while waiting for the taxi, was a simple gesture which was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend.

Great service, huge rooms and en suite.

We stayed for three nights, the service manager on duty was fantastic.  Very helpful in terms of little things - like fresh milk for tea.  The restaurant was a pleasant surprise - very good food and wine list.  The tavern bar was also a good option.  The included breakfast is basic, but this was not an issue given the dinner and lunch dining options.  Although on a busy road, the rooms a well set back and we found it very quiet - great base for short trips in the Perth hills.

Excellent service, great food,nice atmosphere and good rooms.

The room was good, with a comfortable bed, and an excellent en suite and shower. We were issued with a key to get in and out of the building at any time. We had an excellent meal on the Friday evening in the restaurant.

We were advised in the booking that Breakfast was included in the room rate, and we assumed this was a Bed and Breakfast package. We assumed the breakfast would be good because of the excellent reputation of the kitchen.

We were advised at Reception that breakfast was in two cardboard boxes in the fridge, and that there was no restaurant breakfast option. These boxes contained a small cereal box and a boxed UHT milk, an oversweetened 35% fruit juice drink in a box, a packet of three tiny “Apple centre” biscuits, and a small box of chopped fruit in juice.
We did not use the boxed breakfast the first morning as we decided to go out early and get a proper breakfast at our first  Perth appointment, and we noted when the room was cleaned that a second set of boxes was not provided for the second morning, which we had paid for in our booking. 
We did open and consume some of the products in one box later in the first day. The quality of this food was substandard. None of it was fresh and it was sugar laden. We would be surprised if this level of food would be served or approved by the Inn Mahogany Creek kitchen staff in the restaurant.

If the Inn Mahogany Creek is to continue to provide this appalling level of Breakfast service, the cost of the room should be reduced, and the boxed breakfast option added to the beers and wines provided in the room fridge, and only charged to the room cost if they are used.
The Inn Mahogany Creek should not imply in its booking arrangements that it is offering a Bed and Breakfast package.

This was considered a most unsatisfactory breakfast arrangement, and we will certainly not be staying at the Inn Mahogany Creek again in these circumstances, which is a pity because the room was excellent, and so was the evening restaurant.

Friday and Saturday night for brief visit to Perth for a 60th wedding anniversary

Wow what a nice clean room and loved the lay out and tiles of the bathroom !Had some drinks and  nibblys for a few nights and was fab!Loved the guy with throwing the bottles around,dont take to heart the negatrive  reviews, at lest you are working wether you  are a visitor or not!!!We will definatly be coming back, cant wait!Thanks to also the housekeepers for keeping the rooms so nice and clean!
