Very impressive driving in, as it is at the base of the Grampians. Late afternoon the sun shines on the top and looks very spectacular. The rooms are very large and very quiet and comfortable. We had tea arranged really good and breakfast was the same. Lovely accommodation and lots of people about.

Managers and staff very pleasant. 
The Restaurant is not open for dinner except for group bookings. However Restaurant is open for breakfast.
Motel has 50 plus rooms serviced daily. 
Picnic area is available in the courtyard. 
Pleasant outlook onto the mountain ranges.
TV reception very poor due to the mountains.

Pleasant accommodation at foot of the Grampians.

We stayed here for 4 nights. It is a typical motel layout with parking outside the rooms. The rooms are functional but spacious with basic furnishings, a large comfortable bed, air conditioning and a large bathroom with shower. There is a small seating area outside the room. We had tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. The property is a 5 minute walk from the centre of Halls Gap.

Huge room , bed clean and comfortable but room dusty and shower unpredictable! Lady on reception was lovely and very knowledgeable of area. Breakfast; continental and fine for us. Other options nearby. 
Saw lots of kangaroos from our window overlooking a field and stream. Great walking nearby 

Overnight stop to walk 

Excellence and comfort. Large space with table and chairs for dining. Lady at reception was very helpful with ease of checking in. We had use of laundry and breakfast facilities if we wanted it. Unfortunately no evening dining so went to local restaurant nearby. Suggest you book for local restaurants. Very busy town. Would recommend to anyone looking for cleanliness and accessible to local sights.

Clean and comfy.

A very basic hotel, with tired rooms and fixtures. Small AC unit struggles to heat room up in winter. Reception Staff did not speak English. Ceiling was mouldy & damaged in parts. Ok in terms of location, nearby Halls Gap. Nothing really much to say

Very basic

I would say this  Motel is very comfortable. The room had a large king size bed, good heating and large television. The bedroom and bathroom were large with plenty of space to spread out. The bathroom was recently renovated and the shower was hot and the water pressure was excellent. Parking was right at the front door so no having to carry your luggage far. Good location as it was close to the town and shops. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice big comfortable country motel.

Great ‘base camp’ from which to explore The Grampians’. Huge room, firm but comfortable bed, warm, plentiful hot water.

Can’t comment on food options as we hiked into town to eat (a fairly easy stroll- no more than 10 minutes if that).

Laundry was a welcome bonus as we’d been travelling around and the T shirt supply was running thin!

Best bit- definitely the abundant wildlife you can observe from the bedroom window.

All you need for a comfortable stay in Halls Gap. Big, comfortable bed and a shower room big enough to host a party!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here while exploring the national park. We arrived, the check in was extremely quick and easy and our room was ENORMOUS. Granted, the decor was a little dated but the bed was big and very comfortable, they had smart tvs with Netflix etc, the bathroom was modern with a nice hot shower and the views of the mountains as soon as you step out the door are breathtaking.
The main part of town is a 4 minute stroll, so restaurants, cafes, shops and tourism guides are extremely close, as well as the entrance to a lot of hikes.
Definitely would stay again if I return to the Grampians!

The perfect value getaway!

Stuck in Victoria in 2020 due to worldwide COVID restrictions, my wife and I were seriously missing our twice-a-year overseas holidays. Unable to get to Nepal or Peru, and virtually any other country, a friend suggested we visit Halls Gap.  Neither of us had ever been there. 
We’ve now been to Halls Gap five times since December 2020 and we’ve happily stayed at Country Plaza Halls Gap each time. 
The rooms are great and it’s a seamless stay, the lovely staff make check-in and check-out so easy. 
We wanted to stay close to the restaurants and shops and Country Plaza Halls Gap is ideally located, a short walk from all major facilities. Very reasonably priced, too. 
A number of our hikes even started from the Motel as the mountains are just across the road. 
We highly recommend Country Plaza Halls Gap for families or couples.
