From the time of arrival we were made welcome by Ivan and Ann. Ideally located a short walk from the town centre .The room was spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Huge comfy King sized bed plus a variety of tea and coffees were available. Large ensuite which again was spotless. There is also a wide range for breakfast which can be served in your room or on the verandah. Can't recommend highly enough, will certainly  return for another visit

We came to this lovely B & B after a less than comfortable nights stay in an old hotel.  In fact it was from the ridiculous to the sublime.  We were warmly welcomed by Ivan our host and shown to a lovely front room.  This was in fact 2 rooms made into 1 with a new ensuite.  Tea and coffee were in our room with a welcome packet of chocolate biscuits.  I spent 30 minutes on the front porch in the late afternoon sun, sadly this was the only time I could use this pleasant space as the weather was not kind to us.

When it came to night time, we had a comfortable recliner lounge to sit and watch some television, a lovely warm room with excellent airconditioning.  Night time meant a great night’s sleep as there was a comfortable king size bed just beckoning us to sleep.  All the drapery on the bed was first class and thoughtfully put together.

Next morning Ivan and Ann served breakfast on the small table set in the window.  This was a full choice English breakfast and very tasty.  We had found we could even prepare a light snack in the room for dinner as they provided a microwave and dishes for use.  However, we didn’t use any of these as there were many places open and catering to our needs in Busselton, this was to be a break for me and I wasn’t wishing to do any meal preparation.

I tried to think of anything that our hosts had not provided for use that we might need but couldn’t come up with anything, from the torch in case of blackouts to the umbrellas waiting at the front door.  Toiletries chosen with care and lavishly provided.

If this report seems effusive then I can only say that having travelled B & B both in England, Europe to a lesser degree, and also within Australia I cannot think of another place better than this to stay.  It may have one equal, in Chester in the U.K. but probably no others.  I encourage others to stay and enjoy, I wish we could have stayed longer and hope to be able to come back soon.

Great B and B everything you could want and more, handy location for the jetty and town center, nice and quiet with comfy beds, would like to have a return visit
Our room was the king size with bar and very spacious, two leather recliner seats and large flat screen tv . Breakfast was served in the room, no guest lounge or dining room but that was ok., more self contained and good off street parking.

I have no idea what more Ann and Ivan could do to improve their business.  The property is charming, brilliantly located, and easy to find.  The rooms generous in size are luxuriously fitted out.  Our room could not have been more comfortable.  Ann and Ivan very kindly helped us, offering beach towels, and doing our washing; the breakfasts kept us full all day, and as Ann loves baking extra treats are never far away.

Thank you both for a fantastic stay!

Quality hospitality

We stayed at Sojourn on Gale for two nights. Ann and Ivan were wonderful hosts and the breakfasts were excellent. We chose to have breakfast on the verandah which was lovely. Overall a terrific property with old world charm and wonderful hosts. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely stay

We stayed at this B&B and had a brilliant experience. On arrival we were greeted by Both Ivan and Ann who made us feel really welcome to their home. the rooms were excellent and very comfortable. Within about 30 minutes we were presented with home made scones which were lovely after our journey on the motorbikes. Ivan and Ann are lovely people who made us feel comfortable but did not intrude on our privacy. Ann also did some laundry for us one of the days which was most welcome as travelling on motorbike we did not have a huge amount of clothes. The breakfasts were very good with home made jams and marmalades. Brilliant and wish we could have stayed longer

2 night stay on our motorbike tour

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at this lovely B&B. Room was spacious and comfortable and immaculate. Ann & Ivan were excellent hosts, with a fantastic cooked breakfast both mornings. We arrived back one afternoon and was presented with a lovely afternoon tea of fresh scones with jam and cream. Definitely worth a stay.

What a Gem

What a great place for a short relaxing stay. The location is ideal to walk to beaches, the pier, restaurants and hotels. The accomodation provided everything that we needed. The room was very spacious and well appointed with all the necessities including a large private bathroom and a few luxuries such as a coffee machine and home cooked afternoon teas from Anne's kitchen. The breakfasts were delightful and filling. Ivan's poached eggs hit the spot each morning. Anne and Ivan are the perfect hosts in that they made us feel like part of the family but at the same time respected our privacy. This was our first time in a B&B and it won't be the last. I would recommend this establishment to anyone as the perfect alternative to large impersonal hotels. Go for it!
