I was enjoying the establishment, sport on the screens and I had been lucky enough to meet some local people. I am travelling solo so that was important to me. The sheer rudeness of one particular female staff member was incredibly unfortunate, her behaviour and attitude was disappointing. Hopefully in the future that staff member attains some social skills and manners. At the end of the day manners are free

We had a birthday lunch with friends (12 adults) at the Courtyard Bistro last week. The area was clean, considering they are going through a renovation, and nicely furnished. Their food was great value for money, I cannot eat anything dairy and the staff was very accommodating, friendly and efficient. We had forgotten to bring a cake for the birthday girl - the manager noticed this and provided a fabulous cake within minutes (no charge) -exceptional customer service. Will definitely return to support good service.

Good food, exceptional customer service

The Australian Hotel .. is an okay local pub for cold drinks & a feed

A big thankyou to Vader and the kitchen staff for making our family night out an awesome night the food was great  and reasonably priced  definitely  a must  to go to if your looking for a  relaxed family  night out

Amazing

Poor food menu, only 1 bar staff and she didn't speak English very well, hard to understand. Only craft beers in tap, service very slack. Not going back, our meals were below average, a waste of money. Seemed a lot of kitchen staff, meals were fairly quick coming out.

Happy Hour 12 - 1pm, choice of three meals for $10. I had the 200 gram steak, salad and chips with pepper sauce. Cooked perfectly, tasty & salad dressing just right.
Also $5 schooners during Happy Hour.
Great value. Cool breeze in outdoor area was a bonus.

Popped in for a bistro lunch , had tacos $18 and wife had  veggie nachos $12 , couldn’t fault , food was great , service awesome,and they are good size meals so go with an appetite , just started a new menu and I look forward to trying the  rack of pork ribs and the others look great too , will definitely be back

Had a great dinner with a group of friends at the Australian. Friendly helpful staff, with a great range of cold beers on tap along with Cocktails, Seltzer and Wines. Ate an awesome rump steak in the spacious beer garden. Busy venue which looked to be popular with locals and visitors. Great job. 

Dinner at the Australian Hotel Ballina 

We were at the Aussie hotel pub on 24-Dec evening for dinner and drinks. Decision was made because they had live music the same night. We were two families with 7 people, we were promptly given a good table from where we could listen to music but not too close where we couldn't speak to each other. We ordered the Prawn Burger (hotel recommendation), the mixed tacos, schnitzel and garlic bread, along with some drinks. The prawn burger was average, with just 1 piece of prawn in the entire burger, which was surprising. The tacos, schnitzel and garlic bread were good. They have happy hour between 4:30-6:30pm and house beer pints were just $5. The music that night was awesome the the musical duo (don't remember the name) who performed were awesome and just amplified the dinner experience to a different level. This bar is a place def for a quick beer and some nibbles, specially when the music is on!
