Sapa

This three room hotel atop the Signature Restaurant is both affordable and beautiful. Stunning hill side views from each bedroom. Lie in bed and look at the mist rolling in. Large rooms and comfortable beds. The decor is very understated and natural down to the wallpaper. The furnishings have a stripped down wooden feel without compromising on quality. Its a property designed with a lot of care to detail instead of the garish resorts that are coming up all over Sapa. The service is unobtrusive and friendly. Its nice to have a quiet bar with happy hours below and their craft beers. Excellent restaurant. Cannot recommend this enough. Good location as well. Close to the central area but a little away from the main town square bustle.

Boutique and Beautiful

Very comfy room and bed, good location and great beer especially during happy hour. I would stay here again if I'm ever back in Sapa.

Good sized room with great views of the mountains, very easy for the town centre and for trekking. Note breakfast is in their deli down the road! Really friendly staff and nice food, the restaurant is popular in the evening.

Great views

Our tour operator has recommended and booked this hotel in Sapa.  Wow!!  We travelled with another couple and once we checked in, the hotel is "FULLY BOOKED".  Yup, they only have 2 rooms.  There are other rooms but the staff at the restaurant stay there.  Jean was fantastic!!  He was very, very accommodating.  We got to check-out late, since we were not leaving until late afternoon.  The breakfast is at The Hill Station cafe, about 5 minutes walk away.  It is a good way to walk around the town and get delicious breakfast, with very friendly servers.  Every day, we found Jean having his coffee at the cafe in the morning.  He made a point of coming over to our table and asked what we had planned for the day, and of course, gave us some recommendation.  The only regret is that we didn't try the food at the restaurant, down from our rooms.  We had drinks and they were good.  There are seating on the floor on the cushion with low table, as well as traditional western type of table and chairs as well.  If we ever have a chance to visit Sapa again, we will definitely stay there again.

Had heard good things about the Hill Station restaurant but very little information on the rooms. 
Pleasantly surprised that zen restaurant style was evident in the guest room, with a floor to ceiling view of the mountains. Accommodating staff. Note breakfast is a five minute walk at their other casual restaurant in town.

Amazing view

... but not in a good shape. The rooms have seen better times. On our arrival day we went for lunch at the restaurant and we loved the food and the view. Breakfast we could not really enjoy... since it was at another location and the staff was not able to prepare a breakfast for 5 of us and two other guest within one hour. Finaly we asked for takeaway sandwiches since our car was waiting.

Great location and "hardware"...

Stunning views and slightly out of the centre of Sapa, so away from the terrible noise and building site which is the rest of the town

We had a great stay at the Hill Station Boutique Hotel, Sapa. Manu was very kind to us, we had arrived from the overnight train to Lao Cai at 5.30am, and after the 1 hour bus trip got to the hotel at around 7am. He had previously arranged for an early check in which was great, so we were able to unload our luggage, shower and get ready for our first day in Sapa.The restaurant downstairs has an extensive menu of food, definitely a fan of the local Vietnamese soup that goes with rice (chanh?), as well as different flavoured rice wine.Manu also allowed us to have a late check out the following day, as our train back to Hanoi wasn't under 8.45pm.We highly recommend the hotel, beautiful rooms, a super super comfortable bed, and a 5 minute walk to the city centre chapel.

Beautiful hotel, great location

We stayed at The Hill Station boutique hotel for one night. The view waking up in the morning is beautiful.  The hotel is central to the main square and easy to walk around. 

Manu was incredibly helpful and responded to emails promptly. The room was clean, spacious and warm with its own heating and the bed was very very comfortable. It was also surprisingly quiet given there is a restaurant underneath. 

Only thing was there are a couple of addresses on the websites, including one for the deli. This hotel is in Fanispan street. I had to double check where to be dropped off. 

Finally, definitely eat at the restaurant. The food was very good!
