The stone garden is in the perfection location sitting at the foot of beautiful hills. The garden is split between a relaxed pool garden and an elegant walking garden making a very nice environment. The rooms are clean and well laid out, great value for money. 

There are lots of walks in the surrounding area difficulty ranging from easy to medium. 

As a tech nomad this is a good location with strong wifi stretching across the whole property. The owner/manager is very friendly nice man who makes you feel very welcome. 

The only slight downfall is that the food is marginally more expensive than others, being $1 more than other places. Although the quality is very high so you are paying for the quality which is fine with me. 

Generally very nice place and this will be were i stay in my future visits to sapa area.

Beautiful location great staff

We stayed 3 nights at Ta Phin Stone Garden and we really loved the place: we loved spending time in the magical garden by the fish pond and we loved the owners Thanh and his wife who were so attentive and so genuine.  We felt part of the family.  The village itself is about 10 km north of Sapa and it was a peaceful oasis compared to busy and noisy Sapa.  The nature around the village is very beautiful and Thanh helped us to organize some trekking trips with local guides from Red Dzao ethnic minority group.  The treks were very beautiful and our guides spoke very good English so we were able to find out about their lives and their customs.  We saw almost no tourists during the treks which was a bonus.  We highly recommend this place to anyone going to the Sapa region and who doesn't want to be swamped by tourists.  If we ever go back to Vietnam, we will definitely stay here again.

Magical garden and beautiful owners

I stayed in that homestay with my friends one night: the place was clean and calm with a lovely garden and fishpond. The owner was very friendly and recommended us a nice walk around the village. Food was really good, even if some dishes with meat were a little expensive. We spent a relaxing evening chatting while sharing a glass of snake alcohol. Our 3-day weekend in Sapa couldn't end in a better place ! 

Amazing homestay! 

We went to Ta Phin to avoid the crowd of Sapa. This was definitely a plus. The village is quite and the guesthouse is lovely with a huge pond, little waterfalls and garden. Comfort is good for backpacking standard, and were travelling with our 2 year-old daugther. From Ta Phin there are many nice hikes of different distance you can do, crossing villages, seeing plenty of animals and rice paddies. You can also rent motorbike at the guest house. The big minus was the menu as the prices are not reasonable (and there are not many options in the village). Some dish cost almost as much as where we live, and we discovered the prices in Sapa where lower. After 3 nights and most of our meals there, the bill was high despite of cheap rooms. The food is good though :) They also offer cheap herbal bath, which is really nice after a day hike.
