I stayed in his hotel for 2 weeks, while on a study related trip. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. 
However the location is what needs to be kept in mind when booking. I chose the hotel as it was very close to the university I needed to attend most of the time i was there, and for that reason it was excellent, however it is situated in a part of district 3 which is a little bit too far out from the main tourist spots. 
It is about a 20-30 minute walk from the main attractions in district 1. About a 20 min walk from the Ben Tanh Market. So realistically you will need to be taking some taxis. 
However in saying that, it does have some nice restaurants close by (I recommend Propaganda and Hum) and its situated very close by the war remnants museum, about a 10 minute walk away. 
The Hotel staff were mostly helpful, there are always multiple people at reception to help. My room was also very nice, it was a much larger room that i expected for the price, and it had 2 windows. 
My main issue with the hotel was the noise. The walls must have been very thin because I could hear every single sound, I could hear my neighbour snoring, flushing the toilet and showering, I heard a persons phone ring and then I was able to listen to the entire phone call, as i could hear everything. I could also hear some kind of music, at night and sometimes in the morning from outside of the hotel. 
But otherwise I had a very nice stay for my 2 weeks In Ho Chi Minh City, and if the location had been a bit closer to the attractions I would recommend to any other tourist staying.

Nice stay but location not great for tourists

I really don't have anything positive to say about this. Granted we booked last minute after deciding to go to HCMC a day early and we picked this particular hotel because we wanted to be close to the place we were moving to the following day (The Emm Hotel on the next block), but to say we paid the same price for each place, they couldn't be more different. Firstly, we booked a double room and ended up with a twin. Decided not to make a fuss as it was only for one night. The view was terrible, the beds were rock hard and the bathroom was only clean if you didn't look up (the cornices were covered in black spots of a nature I didn't care to inspect). The marble around the sink was well worn and could do with replacement. There was no safe in the room and the walls between the rooms were paper thin. I was woken at around 2am by construction-type noise nearby and then again a little later by the person in the next room who blocked their toilet (I know this because I could hear them doing their business through the thin walls) and then flushing over 20 times to try and clear it. Granted that isn't the hotel's fault, but I wouldn't have been kept awake by it if the rooms had any soundproofing. The hallways were really smoky and the lift doors were erratic, twice closing on me as I was getting in. My shower wasn't warm and the shower head was fixed in one position on the wall, so I couldn't get a good angle. A rain shower would help in such a compact cubicle (odd as the bathroom and room itself was generously proportioned). The staff weren't rude but weren't friendly and breakfast was average. The dining room, like the whole place, needs a face lift. 
I won't be back.

Wouldn't go back

I stayed at the hotel for two nights while finding more permanent accommodation. The staff was very friendly, rooms were properly cleaned and the breakfast was good. The location was great for me since it was so close to work. However, if you're up and about to do more tourism then maybe the location isn't great. It's not too far from the War Remnants Museum, but other than that it's quite far from other places.

However, since the location was none of my concern that didn't bother me. I recommend this hotel if you don't want to spend your whole tourist budget on a hotel room.

Very Confortable

After arriving to find my taxi only costing me 101000 dong with Vinasun. My check in was quick. By the looks of carpet and walls I thought ok... It will get better( I hope). Walked into my room with 3 single beds. Was kind of shocked to see how big the beds were. For a family of 5, we fit all our luggage and bathroom was big. Anyone with kids know booking for a room when your little ones sleep with you is nonsense when they charge extra will be happy to know they didnt with my Kids. The rooms were clean. Enjoyed breakfast that cme with room price(under$50US). The staff was helpful and speak little English. But good enough. There are some good restaurants walking distance. But if you want to go to Ben thanh it's a taxi ride. But not at all expensive(expect around 50000 dong).
