Villa Lavanda

For the money I am not sure that you can find a better place. We were a 5 minute walk to the beach, probably less - but just far enough away that you didn’t hear all the noise. We got awesome sleep here. The main part of town is just an 8 minute walk to get to the restaurants and bars. The breakfast is as good as advertised. We hadn’t held our breath because we have had some terrible free breakfasts during our couple of months in South America but these guys delivered. You sit down in their little back patio area and you are completely taken care of. Start with coffee or tea & juice. Then fresh breads, fresh jams and butters are brought out. Next you will receive some tasty ham and cheese tostadas, but they’re made almost like hot pockets. It’s hard to explain. The edges where the crust is are cooked together to create a completely enclosed sandwich. At this point I was full but there out came some more stuff. Homemade cheesecake followed by a homemade chocolate tart. All of this was free and served to your table. The place itself is very minimal but gets the job done. All the rooms have a little area outside their door to sit and enjoy the outside. The A/C and hot shower worked great. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the wifi worked so dang good we were able to stream live TV (NCAA tournament) which was a first for us.
