I stayed at the Bal Harbour Hotel and had a very relaxing vacation.  My efficiency room had everything and was very clean.  The restaurant at the hotel served delicious food and was very convenient and friendly.  The pool was delightful.  It was heated and very relaxing.  They even had a kiddie pool and arcade.  It is a great hotel to stay at with or without children.  I highly recommend this hotel.

Very Comfortable Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bal Harbour. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. You couldn’t beat the view, easy access to the beach and four nice pools to choose from (two for the kids). Staff were friendly and we had no issues with the AC, elevator or parking accommodations. The only complaints are the $40 extra fee for credit card booking that must’ve been in small print when booking and it’s a little far from the boardwalk. If you’re looking to stay at the Ritz, you’re not going to get it here or any of the hotels/motels in Wildwood. Any additional negative complaints from this hotel are bunch of Karen’s. If you want something more upscale, go stay at a bed and breakfast in Cape May.

Enjoyable experience

Very clean inside and out. View, pools, location to beach, and food excellent. Room was very cold and couldn’t be adjusted. Water pressure and temp changed. Comfortable room/bed. No walkway from parking.

Enjoyed stay!

It's a very family oriented place with great views and directly on the beach. Nothing in front--walk off patio onto beach. Tip: Don't assume.  Before I went first time, I just called them and asked. Gosh, why don't others JUST ASK?  Here you go though....COOKWARE: They told me its equipped for light cooking. Fair enough. BEACH TOWELS: The towels they provide are bath towels. Ok, big deal on beach towels...everyone has a closet full of beach towels. HAIR DRYER: Nope, but I never use hotel hair dryers cause they smell of the previous combo of 500 guest hair sprays...yuck. VIEW: Oceanfront means parallel to ocean (best view). Oceanview means view of ocean--usually side shot but still good. RESTAURANT: On site.  24 HR ROOM SERVICE?: No. Very Limited (typical for Wildwood). Anticipate a little and ask the maid before they leave. Simple. WATER: Always hot enough for my bath but after staying for years in hotels, I've learned to AVOID the times everyone else in the place takes a bath. Duh eh? BABYSITTER SERVICE: No.   PARKING: Some underground, some off street. 1 car only. Parking for wildwood hotels is generally limited. Expect a packed lot during the season. NOISE: None. Family oriented Wildwood CREST, not like Wildwood with "up-all-night" crowd. Very quiet. ELEVATORS: Yes but they get busy during checkin time. PATIO DECK FOR SUN WORSHIPPERS: Yes, nice lounges  BAR: No W. crest is dry. Family.  NEAR BOARDWALK?: Take your car.

Nice Size Rooms, Love the View, Family Place

So my last review of this hotel was a few years ago. I decided to try it again because my youngest son is autistic & I knew this place had an arcade & 3 kiddie pools that would keep him entertained even if he didn't want to leave the hotel. I'm glad we went back. The staff was very nice this time, the rooms are still dated but clean. The food at the snack bar by the pool was good & really convenient for my 3 kids who need a snack every 5 minutes. I'm hoping if we come back next year, we have another positive experience.  The poor people working the restaurant were so under staffed, so it was a little bit of a wait but there is nothing they could do to help that, the food was very good though, so it was worth the wait.

Much better than last time

I stayed in this hotel in the 80s with my family and really enjoyed it here.  We all agreed that we would like to go back with the grandchildren and relive those happy memories.  I reserved 4 rooms for the 17 of us.  Trish and her coworkers were so nice and accompanying they were able to check us early and assign rooms that were near.  So nice I was really happy with the service.  The rooms were clean and offered a great view of the ocean.  There was daily turn down service which was wonderful considering it is so difficult to get staff these days. Bravo to the staff at bal harbour for making our trip wonderful.

Family reunion

After reading all of the negative reviews we were apprehensive staying here for a  weekend basketball event in town. You can’t expect a taj mahal for the prices they charge. The place is right on the beach. We had a balcony with a view of beach. The place is tired and dated but not dirty. The pool area was presentable and the in house restaurant adequate. The parking garage requires some expertise navigating the small spaces and pillars. I was upset that the house service never came to clean our room but we got by picking up clean towels at the front desk. Contrary to what others said, the gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating and friendly. If you can put up with a few inconveniences the price is right to stay here.

Not as bad as mentioned in prior reviews.

The rates were reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. Hotel employees were friendly and helpful; our TV was not working and they sent someone up immediately to fix it. We had an ocean view room; the view was spectacular, shown on pictures from the room and balcony. The hotel has a pretty lobby and a very large arcade area. The pool area looked very nice but we never had a chance to use it. The hotel is directly on the beach, very convenient! Parking was tight and the garage was a bit tight as well. We had 2 queen beds, they were extremely comfortable!!! Very soft and cozy. The sliding doors actually had a screen which was great so we could keep it open all night. The room was very basic but clean, which was fine for us. The toilet was a bit odd as it was quite low, but water pressure in the shower was very good. We were directly next to the elevator, I was concerned it would be noisy, but not at all.  We would have liked a ramp to pull our suitcases up from the car to the lobby, rather then steps; it was a bit hard to maneuver all of our luggage. It’s definitely an older building that needs some paint touch ups, but besides those minor items, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book with them again.

Wildwood Weekend

Bed in room unreal 0 comfort,dirty bathtub drain backs up,leaking A/C constant water dripping on carpet.oven gross fan don't work above it.Heavy Grey paint over wall paper,carpets dirty black socks,(mold) pool closes at six a nasty woman and her clipboard you can't leave pool gates open ummm I just walked in and closed behind me.place is outdated no grill horrible food as well check prices ridiculous.carefull place is falling apart look in front you will see lolly colums been ther for years.paint and caulk can't hide everything also ceiling tile grid rusty how and why moisture what comes with that MOLD.

Terrible mold in room leaking A/C in room fan don't work above oven very dirty place

Paid over $300 a night for Labor Day Weekend. The place is about 20 years overdue for a remodel. Uncomfortable beds with a mattress smaller than the box spring, paper thin towels, Ridiculously low toilet, with the flush valve under a shelf and difficult to flush. Rust on the sink, dirt in the utensil tray and some rust on one of the pots. Great location, but much newer choices and value for the money.
