Our relatives booked a room here in June - the rooms are old and dated, but looked clean.  Exterior was not very inviting.  Looked like several boats there, as it was very close to the ramp and convenient.  OK for fisherman - wouldn't book a family there.  AND
after they saw the room, they tried to cancel.   You can cancel, but they're going to go ahead and charge you for one night AND they'll charge you something like $16 extra since you  cancelled.  Not kosher at all!    So, they're hooking you with the reservation and then it'll cost you to cancel and look for another place.

Do not book before you look

We stayed at the Beaver Lodge to do some stripper fishing during a break in the weather. We found the rooms clean and comfortable with plenty of room for our bass tracker right in front of the room. The launch was literally right down the road, couldn't have stayed any closer. They have a fire pit out back and we had a good time there too. Room was pretty basic, but was clean even if it was a little dated. Good television selection and friendly staff. Perfect for us fisherman, and you can't beat the price that close to the launch.

We have been staying at the lodge for years and love it. I don't know what other people are talking about but we have never found out rooms "disgusting" or "gross." We've always found it very clean and the staff very friendly. It's the closest place to the marina and to our family. New owners took over a couple years ago and up grades have been occuring, new TV's, cieling fans, etc. There are also a firepit and horseshoe pits out back now. We love it. It's old school and we like it that way. 

Had a great time!

First off, The pictures online are NOT what the room even looks like!! There was a horrible smell in the room, old dirty carpet just laid on top of concrete floors and to make it all worse, they charged my card for over $100.00 more than what my two night stay cost. They told me to call my bank, that it wasn't anything they did wrong, but to find out it was someone in the office trying to steal money off of my debit card!!! I still haven't been refunded the amount I was told I would be refunded. Save your time and your hard earned money and go somewhere else!! You'll thank yourself for it! I was also told there would be free Wi-Fi but that wasn't true at all!! There was NO WiFi at all!!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!

We booked a room through Hotwire because all the reviews I read were really good, pulled up and it looks like a cheep motel.  We have kids and need something decent.  Had to give the keys back and get a refund after opening the door to the room, beds are 90 year old mattresses and the bathroom smelled like urine.  It was 3:20 when we arrived and the front office lady was offsite!! Check in is at 3:00, come on really.  Asked for refund and she charged us again instead of refunding is.  Do not recommend this motel, needs to be tore down and completely redone and it could really make some money!
