Another great stay! Was here for Christmas by the Sea! Room 3 on first floor is spacious and comfortable. Bathroom is great! 
Greg is an amazing host! So friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is great. 
Such a nice place to relax at the end of the day! Abbey was there on our last morning. She did a great job! Thanks Greg and Abbey! You guys are awesome!

Christmas by the Sea

Moon Over Maine was a great stay!  We had room #6 which was a bit small but decorated nicely and the bath towels were amazing.  So big and thick.  We were there during a forecasted Tropical Storm Warning which didn't really materialize so unfortunately, most of the outdoor furniture was pulled in for the duration of our stay.   The room would not have felt so small if we were able to sit outside on the deck more.  We did make use of the firepit and Adirondack chairs around the firepit a few times and the living room area one night.  The breakfasts were so good and such a cute presentation in the baskets...you can eat them in the kitchen area or take them outside/to your room, etc.  It's a great idea!  Little pantry was stocked with all the plates and glassware you need for wine and snacks.  Easy walk to the shops/restaurant/beach.  We've been pretty loyal to another inn in the OGT area the last 15+ years but stayed here since we could only stay 2 nights and the other inn required 3 but I have to say, I'm happy we branched out and would definitely consider a stay here again!  

Great Stay!

This place has reclaimed its past greatness with a big update of the rooms! Nice amenities in the bathroom and the bed is great. Staff was friendly and there is an excellent breakfast every morning (which was a pleasant surprise since the website said the breakfasts were still scaled back like last summer). Breakfast given to us in a basket and everything was very fresh. Nice job all around. One significant caveat: we had trouble with wifi and were not the only ones who did. Basically for much of our time to get internet we had to turn off wifi. I hope they address this!!! 

We will be back next summer!

Great bed and breakfast ... with one caveat

There are so many wonderful places to stay in Ogunquit. Unfortunately, I did not stay at one of them. My concerns have to do more with management than with the property. 

The location is wonderful, but it was not welcoming stay. The address was wrong in our confirmation email, which caused us to arrive at the wrong location after a 7 hour drive. 

Upon arrival, we were then told there would be no breakfast service. It turned out there was NO SERVICE AT ALL. There was no housekeeping whatsoever. Beds were never made, garbage pails remained overflowing, we did not have fresh towels or any other amenities. 

I would never stay there again and encourage others to find a better place to stay. It was a great disappointment, especially at this price.

Stay Somewhere Else

We arrived in Ogunquit at the end of the season but many of the properties were full. We lucked out with a booking at Moon Over Maine! A charming 8 room B&B just off the downtown main road. 
We had a large king room with en-suite bathroom and a private entrance with access to the hot tub just outside our door. A lot of care has gone into making Moon over Maine a comfortable place to stay. Luxurious linens and tastefully appointed rooms were appreciated as well as the full breakfasts provided by the hosts, Brian and Heath, in picnic baskets we could take back to our room, if we preferred. They were both busy at other properties but ensured that we had their cellphone numbers and everything we needed there and were only a couple of blocks away. 
When we return to Ogunquit, and we will, we’ll be sure to stay at either  Moon Over Maine or Nellie Littlefield Inn & Spa, both owned and maintained by Brian and Heath.

Moon over Maine is a great place to stay!

My husband and I stayed at MOM last week (August 2021), in one of the lower-level rooms with an entrance directly to the outside.  Terrific location - close to town, but up a side road.  The proprietors, Brian and Heath, are very friendly and helpful.  Breakfast - even during COVID - was plentiful, switching up daily with yogurts, scones, bagels, fruit, nuts.  Even the last day of our stay, they prepared a "goody bag" for the road.  They know the area and were helpful in suggesting places to see.  We will stay here again if we return to Ogunquit.  BTW, don't bother with reviews older than two years - Brian and Heath are new owners and it's clear they care that their patrons have a wonderful stay.

Gem of a B&B

Moon Over Maine was the best place I've ever stayed in Maine. The room was spotless upon arriving. The breakfast each day was phenomenal. The location is prime, right down town but away from the hustle and bustle of the shopping area. Less than a ten minute walk to the beach. The owners, Heath and Brian were so welcoming and accommodating. They gave information about the area and recommendations on places to go. The hot tub was soo relaxing to end the night. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. The place was quiet and peaceful. There are sitting areas and tables outside of each room which was nice to eat breakfast at. They have plenty of coolers, umbrellas, and comfy and sturdy beach chairs that conveniently strap on like a back pack for guests to take with them to the beach - one less thing to pack the car with! Every detail at this place was taken into careful consideration and the price is great for everything you get. I will 1000% be staying here again. I was very impressed with how clean and charming everything was. If you are looking for a place right in the heart of Ogunquit, close to the beach with amazingly friendly owners STAY HERE!!!! 10/10 recommend, 5 stars, I would give them the Nobel Peace Prize if I could because of how I felt after staying.

Great getaway

Brian and Heath are gems.  You could not ask for more accommodating hosts.  The place is impeccably clean with updated showers, bed frames and air conditioning.  The decks are very chic.  They also provide beach umbrellas and chairs.  The breakfast are very delicious and beyond cute in presentation.
Please visit this place and come with an open mind and heart: you will not be disappointed.

Love the new owners and what they have done with the place

We planned a quick 2 day, one night trip to Ogunquit from Boston in early July, to relax, unwind and recharge. Unfortunately, our stay coincided with the hottest days on record in Maine (temps were in the high 90s), but that didn't spoil our trip. The Inn and the rooms were clean, cozy and fully air conditioned! There were beach chairs and boogie boards to take to the beach. The location close to town was perfect. Breakfast on our private deck was wonderful (although we missed the famous scones), and our room (#6) was comfortable and spacious. We will definitely be back!

Much needed short get away

We definitely enjoyed our stay here! The location is great and Rick is an excellent host. We'll be back in the future!
