The wife and I were on a Route 66 road trip and stayed here for a night. This wasn’t bad. It’s an old kitschy remodeled motel. It was fine for what it is. I definitely think lodge is a bit of an overstatement.

Holbrook is Cool

Had the pleasure of seeing Mona and Larissa one last time before they head back home to Austria.  Will miss them as the proud owners of this delightful motel. Peter and family did most of the work themselves bringing this 66 beauty back to life. They put their all into this place which is why I have returned year after year.  
Thank you Peter, Mona and Larissa for all your care and help (Locked keys, flat tire, 
weather alerts and so much more) and God Bless you and good fortune follow you.

Sorry to see you go!

Stayed in Holbrook since we wanted to spend some time at Petrified Forrest National Park, but we needed to be on a Zoom call at 4 PM.  We like to play trivia with our friends via Zoom on Thursday nights, and the wifi at Globetrotter did not let us down.  However, I was disappointed that I came in 3rd.  Room was very clean and Mona, the owner, was very nice and friendly!  Fun decor!  Bed was a little firm for the GF, but perfect for me

We got our kicks here...

We like to stay in small independently owned motel/hotels. The Globetrotter Lodge is by far the best we’ve stayed at. Mona and her husband took very good care of us. We woke up the next morning with a table set for us with real dishes and silverware. The breakfast was delicious!!!

A Treasure in the Desert

I have stayed at the Globetrotter at least 5 or 6 times in the last several years while I need to stay in Holbrook and I can only say it really is a great place! It is such a hidden gem and you would think the larger chains in town are fancier or would provide better service but you truly get the personal attention you would expect from a place sitting on Route 66.
From neat, clean and really well decorated rooms to a great breakfast to just a quiet place, try it at least once and you too may be hooked.
I actually had one of my best nights sleep there in over the past month.

Great hidden gem!

On a road trip, just happened upon the Globetrotter Lodge.  Such a pleasant surprise!!!  The host and hostess greeted us and made us feel like we were part of their family.  We got an excellent night's sleep and a wonderful breakfast the next morning.  If we are ever in the area again, we will DEFINITELY be staying here.

Wonderful place to stay

Was having car trouble and stayed for a couple nights. Great motel! Rooms very clean and well appointed. Bed so comfortable that I over slept! Proprietors super friendly and keep the motel in terrific condition. Fast wi-fi, clean decent sized pool.

Everything was good: nice and clean rooms, friendly staff, nice breakfast. Everything worked well and was in good condition (fridge, heater, etc). Nothing super extraordinary, but everything was good. Would definitely stay again!

Good convenient place

Booked a room for later in the evening through TripAdvisor. Arrived around 7 pm.  When we entered the office received a very rude greeting.  Told the woman we had reservations and she responded again very rudely we DID NOT! No pleasantries, no assistance just poor customer service.  Mind you, TripAdvisor had confirmed our reservation.  This woman was not at all interested in nor even looked to confirm our reservation. Lodge looked deserted, plus no parking!
Never been treated so poorly by someone who depends upon happy customers to provide their living.
Avoid, unless you like being treated rudely!

How rude!

When first driving into Holbrook on Route 66, the motels look somewhat dated and from the 60's (which they might be). But once you step into the Globetrotter Lodge it is a whole other world. The owners are so friendly. The rooms are spotless and decorated in a way that you are not going to find at cookie-cutter chain motels. The breakfast in the morning is cereal, toast, jam, fruit, and fresh grilled/scrambled eggs. This place is more like a B&B than a motel. It was a great base for visiting the Petrified Forest National Park
