A perfect place to stay at while exploring Gustavus. The family that runs the lodge and their long time staff make you feel like part of the family. They offer transportation to all your activities (which you can book directly with them such as the glacier cruise, whale watching cruise and fishing excursions) as well as trips to Tasco and fireweed cafe. Continental breakfast is include with your stay and they offer hot breakfast options and dinner for purchase. Diva is in the nearby meadow and they had apple slices to offer to her.

I stayed in the Annie Mae room which had a shared bathroom with the Linda Lee room. it was clean and well supplied. the view from my room was perfect. On one of the day I was soaked from the constant rain while walking on the trails in the national park. They dried my boots and the rain jacket in heated room before my next adventure.

I heard that the family will be putting the lodge on the Air BNB website and only the rooms that have entrance doors on the deck will be available. My room as well as 3 others will no longer be available to stay in; meals and transportation will no longer be available. I'm bummed!

loved staying at this lodge and the family that runs it

I stayed at the lodge for two nights. The owners are the nicest people. There is a sweet horse that just stays by the lodge with out fences and will follow you if you go for a river walk. A moose wandered by as we ate dinner a delicious dinner and chatted with other guests. Breakfast is very hardy. The two different I stayed in were spotless and very comfortable. We age going back next summer and are looking forward to our stay again at this wonderful lodge.

Great location and very nice inn keepers.

Such an incredibly special bed and breakfast in Gustavus. The lodge is in an idyllic setting - and the lodge itself is warm, comfortable and welcoming. The lodge is run by a family, who are so kind and work incredibly hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Matthew, one of the members of the family, helped us to arrange all of our activities, helping us to get to and from the ferry, sea plan, and national park. Dinner is provided for an additional fee and they go to great lengths to satisfy any dietary needs (I'm gluten-free) as well as provide a full and satisfying meal. Their dessert was especially delicious. Breakfast is also provided, and is a nice spread of yogurt, granola, baked goods, etc., hot items are also offered at an additional charge. This is such a special place, my only regret is not staying longer.

Incredibly special

The people who run the Annie Mae are wonderful - thoughtful and flexible.   They adjust well to schedule changes in how they support their guests.   The food is fine and the homemade granola in the continental breakfast is a special treat!!

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were only here for a night to see Glacier Bay National Park but they were great about taking us everywhere we needed to go, and sharing stories and looking for wildlife on the way. When we checked in, they personally escorted us to our room,  Lupine. It was on the second floor and overlooked the meadows behind the lodge. We loved that Diva the horse just roamed around the grounds and our boys were so excited to feed her carrots and apples from the kitchen staff. Breakfast was included for free and included cereal, yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, juice, milk and coffee. You could also order from the menu, which we did, and the French toast was delicious! The dinner was good but a bit pricy, but pretty much everything here is since it costs to much to transport things here. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Our room, while tight, was clean and served its purpose, and it is so safe in these parts we didn't even use a room key! They have bikes to ride and rain boots to borrow, outdoor yard games and indoor board games. 

Charming, quaint place!

Stayed here two nights during our bicycling/alaska ferry adventure on the Inside Passage. Matthew was our host most of the trip and was simply THE BEST! Picked us up from the campground after tenting in Bartlett Cove, went above and beyond on the hospitality, and the food/room/story of the place was lovely.
The whole staff was great and Diva the horse is a HUGE sweetie! Highly recommend this if available for a few nights in Gustavus before, during, or after your adventures in Glacier Bay NP!

Lovely stay in Gustavus!!!

They were so wonderful about taking us wherever we needed. They picked us up from the ferry, took us to the dock for a whale tour, and dropped us off for dinner and picked us up at a specified time. (They offer dinner for $50 per person at the B&B, but were completely happy to drive us to the pizza place instead.) We loved Leslie's impromptu tour narratives of the area and wildlife wherever she took us. She was lovely. Also we saw a moose and her calves just as we drove up the drive.

Beautiful B&B

We were picked up on time at the ferry terminal and given a history lesson of the area by a very nice lady. Our room was comfortable enough, though our first night was annoyingly noisy from the bathroom fan below us being left on all night. Each day breakfast was a nice spread of fresh fruit, baked goods, yogurt, granola, and various drinks. We had dinner at the lodge our first night and the food was excellent, though I didn't care for seating arrangements. Having to sit and visit rather than eat isn't what I was looking for. The other days we took advantage of the lodge bikes and rode all over the area, including to the Clove Hitch Cafe for two meals. The location was excellent for our day long tour of the park and the next day guided kayaking adventure. The morning of our departure we were driven to the airport by the friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Delightful 3 Night Stay

While my check-in wasn't great (after being so excited over the phone about my room and planned activities, and being welcomed at the airport, I was unceremoniously "welcomed" at the Inn and just handed my document by the young woman at the desk - I almost regretted my decision) everything else after that was super. My room was large and very comfortable and had great views out the front and side of the Inn. The staff had planned great activities for me, and the breakfasts and dinners were incredibly delicious. Everyone was nice and pleasant and the overall feeling at the Inn is like being invited into someone's home - someone's unique and exciting home in Gustavus! Definitely use the bikes a few times, and DEFINITELY take the walk to the inlet. It's peace at its definition. Take a gander at their books too, there are some nice ones about the nature and people of Alaska. Thank you to everyone at the Inn who made my stay so nice!

Wonderful stay - Incredible food - Perfect location

We had a wonderful experience staying at this delightful lodge.  The staff was very helpful and welcoming from the pickup at the airport to departure at the dock.  Dinner and breakfast were delicious and plentiful.  Loved the family history, beautiful flowers,
and Alaskan ambience.
