The Maxwell In. Exceeded our expectations with super friendly and helpful people, incredibly comfortable beds & pillows and real wood furniture & doors for added quiet. The rooms were incredibly  clean and inviting. 

The view was nice, the hot tub was perfect after a day in the park. The breakfast was a welcomed bonus with cereals, fruit, coffee, tea, juice and more. With many options in Estes Park we highly recommend The Maxwell Inn for a relaxing stay. Close walking distance to town and RMNP! 

Super Clean, Comfortable and Quiet

Very clean, newly renovated craftsman decor in a quiet location just outside of town. Easy walk to restaurants and shopping. Elk were in abundance next door. Owners were very personable and accommodating. 

Peaceful location

This is truly a gem in Estes Park.  The rooms are charming and in immaculate shape. It is refreshing to see such excellence.  You can walk to the town along a pleasant river. The couple who runs it takes pride in their establishment and it really shows. 

Estes Park gem

Room was fine; relatively spacious, and quiet. Front desk staff very pleasant. Breakfast choices fairly limited. Location was about 1/2 mile from the part of Estes Park with lots of shops and restaurants.

Rocky Mountain National Park Short Stay

Great spot! Less than 5 minute drive from the downtown area, could walk there as there were sidewalks the whole way, and less than 10 minutes to RMNP. We stayed in a queen room in the annex building. The room was clean and looked fairly new. It included a gas fireplace and heated tile floor in the bathroom. There was a closet, microwave, fridge, two arm chairs, AC, and ceiling fan. The breakfast was light but had variety: cereal, oatmeal packets, bread items, prepackaged things (like bars), milk, juice, tea, coffee, fruit. 

Great stay

Pleasantly surprised by how nice everything was. Spacious room with comfy bed, clean and fresh throughout. You can tell the owners take pride in it. Vcr and movies available as well. Close to Fall River park entrance and town is just a short walk.

On arrival we saw mule deer behind the building and a bull elk across the street on someone’s lawn!  A fire pit, hot tub and patio were also available. 

Breakfast was light but offered a variety of items along with fresh fruit. Coffee was available in the room. Will definitely choose to stay here again when we return. 

The elk rut was almost over by mid Oct so a little late to see herds in mass but still had beautiful aspens to view. Less crowds and traffic but things were beginning to shut down.  Won’t come as late in the fall next time.

Maxwell Inn a definite plus

Excellent stay at The Maxwell Inn, Estes Park, CO.  Sizable room and comfortable bedding; microwave; fridge; heat easy to regulate. Easy access to Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park and delightful River Walk [by the Performance Climbing Park!] to town; maybe 10 minutes; featuring terrific shops and restaurants. Early check-in option a plus. Owner, Dana Maxwell available and very helpful.

Excellent Stay/River Walk to Town

We had a great time here! The hot tub was great! Location can’t be beat - short and easy walk into town. The breakfast was definitely light (nothing warm and minimal protein) but that gives the option for brunch or an early lunch. Our room had 2 comfy chairs and a very comfortable king bed. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area!

Mountain Getaway

My husband and I stayed there in Sept 2022 and loved it!  The Maxwell Inn is newly remodeled and spotless.  It is nicely located between the town center (which is within walking distance) and Rocky Mountain National Park.  Great owners.

Great place!

My wife and I stayed at the Maxwell Inn over the busy memorial day weekend and there could've been a better place for us to stay! The location what is ideal for navigating the town. Also, although on the town's main drag, it was quiet. The manager was very patient with the questions we asked about the town. HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Maxwell Inn!
