Hard time getting the correct room when correct the new room wasn’t clean

Worst motel I've ever stayed in. Although it appeared clean, I opened a box of doughnut, ate one and took a shower, and when I got out went to have another but decided to let the two roaches in the box have the rest instead. Good thing I brought my own toiletries because all that was included was 2 bars of soap the thickness of a salteen. Just for giggles I tried one out NO LATHER AT ALL and they were crumbled inside the wrapper. Took the shower 5 min to start to get warm. Pillows were flat. No phone or coffee. TV remote didnt work. Electrical outlets were in disrepair. And all this for the low low price of $80. Save your money.

Motel Fail

The building is historic so they can't do much as far as remodeling. The floors have been updated making the room feel as modern as possible. Carpet is cushioning. Room is air conditioned. Refridgerator and microwave in room. The location is perfect walk to border no pool. Now looking for rooms online it looked sketchy but we got there at 5:30 a.m. No one would let us check in that early except them. So we had no choice I was very happy we stayed here. 

One night family party

Great if on a budget..the pool looks as if it has not been in service for a long time.. Room looked clean upon first inspection but then I found a used Band-aid in between the sheets when I was in bed!!Yuck. Also the shower curtains smelled horrible.carpet is very dirty. The only good things are fast wifi and good a/c , clean fridge, microwave , and it's walking distante to Mexicali  / shopping center.

You get what you pay for !!!

I planned to walk over the border into Mexicali.  I did not see parking lots at the border, but the Border Motel offers a good alternative because you can park there as a guest and it is within a couple of blocks of the pedestrian border crossing.  Good basic older-style motel, very clean.  I would definitely stay there again.

The pool was empty when I visited in January 2015.

Convenient Location

Stay cost $45, the lobby smelled very very strongly of curry. Very!
The room was large, internet signal was good, the two pillows were super flat, and I could feel the springs in the mattress.
The towels provided were treadbare and small
The pool was empty and seemed to be that way for a while
But the room was cleanadn the stay was uneventful, which was all I could ask for.
Would I stay again? On a budget? heck yeah.

Cheap hotel, you get what you pay for

Viejo, no hablan español, they offer things that no hay (servicio de café), furniture, filthy carpet, todo maltratado. Por el minúsculo baño que se hunde, que se detecta con la inclinación del piso, entra pasto de la calle de atrás. There was no toilet paper, la cortina de la regadera sucia, muertas moscas pegadas en la pared, cabellos untados en el piso. The only pleasant things were las camas y el aire acondicionado.

I will never stay here again.

Location. Location. Location. If you're staying in Calexico and headed to Mexicali, this is the ideal place. The motel is located just four blocks away from the border crossing. It's a safe walk day or night. It was just $45 bucks for a double. The layout was funky and the bedsheets/comforter were cheap but everything was clean. I would stay here again.
