This BnB is run by Dave & Denise, who were a delight to meet. Dave was fantastic with settling us in a giving us tips about what to see and do in York. The bus station is a 2 minute walk from the house, which takes you into the city centre. There is parking for 4 cars on the property but being located on a corner there is ample car parking on the side street also. We stayed in bedroom 1, which has the best ever, huge King Size bed -slept so well in this bed. The room has double glazed windows, we slept with one window open and we did hear the minimal traffic at night, however with windows closed- no noise at all. Although the bathroom was a bit small it had everything you could want. The room was immaculately clean and it was a large size, with tea- coffee facilities & biscuits provided. A fan, hair dryer and iron were also in the room tucked away. We met Denise at breakfast, a delightful host. The breakfast menu was unique and delicious. I loved the provision of fruit, yoghurts, sweet pastries and breakfast bars that you could also help yourself for breakfast, which was on top of the breakfast you could order. An excellent BnB, hosted by people who take pride in what they do and deliver exceptional service and accomodation. Highly recommended. 

Exceptional BnB

We recently stayed at Sleepers Guest House and could barely fault it. Dave & Denise are  the perfect hosts with nothing being too much trouble for them. The place is spotlessly clean and the rooms are particularly comfortable. The ensuites are however rather cramped. Their breakfasts were exceptional.  

Sleepers is on a main road and the stop for the route 2 park and ride are a few minutes down the road. There is also a very good pub, the Dormouse, near the bus stops which is very good for dinner.

Nearly perfect

Dave & Denise are fabulous hosts and have a lovely Guest House 🏠.
 We can only recommend if you’re stopping in York and want a nice , clean place to stay , with a lovely breakfast thrown in ! Sleepers is for you!
  Only a short bus ride from centre , every 10 mins until 8 pm .  Only £5 on weekend for a day ticket for two people .

Lovely Place to stop in York

Stayed for 1 night to see York  whilst travelling. Would of happily stayed longer. Room so comfy, huge bed and lovely selection at breakfast. Not a normal fry up, but so much more choice of cooked food.

Lovely homely BnB

The breakfast was amazing and more than enough. Loads of fresh fruits and milk products. The speciality of the breakfast was a brilliant surprise, it was fresh and lovely. The wide range of the free brochures at the entrance was very informative and up-to-date. Dave and Denise Were friendly and welcoming. I loved the board-games on shelves and the Honesty Box was unique. Definitely recommend this place.

The bathroom was a little tiny, but it was clean and very well-supplied. The tables in the dining room was a little close to each other.
