We stayed on the campsite and enjoyed it very much. 

Landlady and staff were very friendly and helpful. 

You can walk into Tewkesbury across the fields (45 minutes) path a little bit overgrown in places, but a nice walk.

The Inn is very nice, food was tasty, good range of beer and ale, not a bad price, faggots good quality and huge, lasagne and ribs were lovely too.

Very dog friendly. 

Toilets behind pub were always clean, shower hot.

We will be visiting again.

A very unique pub.  Really friendly and carvery had plenty of veg.  Everyone seemed to know each other so a good ambience.  Not fine dining but reasonably priced.  Tables outside and plenty of grassy banks for dogs.  We had a real feast and there were lots of campers eating too.

We had a great afternoon, with stunning river views, very relaxing. We were not going to stop for food but in the event glad we did as all courses were hot and wholesome, very impressed. Location has a great camp site next door and everything was quiet and relaxed. 

The location of this place is near to Fort Hampton.
The staff were very friendly and helpful all the time.

The food and service was excellent as the food arrived on time and everything was perfect.
The price of the menu was good value for money.
We will always be coming back here with our friends.

We went there to eat lunch on the Sunday with our friends who came to visit us.

This pub at the Lower Lode Inn is very dog friendly.

I would highly recommend this place to people who love eating Sunday roasts and other things from the menu.

Attended my sisters wedding at Lower Lode, this beautiful location next to the river was fabulous. The staff were exceptional and so supportive. I would not hesitate to recommend.  Many of the guests used the camping facilities others staying in the hotel accommodation.

Just had our wedding here last weekend 
We had the ceremony in the function room and a marquee and top hats on the lawn.  We had the camping field too.  Just absolutely WOW Sam and the team worked so hard.  Thank you all for making our wedding perfect

Just back from celebrating a wedding weekend, absolutely perfect! From the beautiful location on the riverside ,the marriage ceremony in the pretty flower decked hall, to the amazing buffet spread, the fantastic service throughout by the freindly efficient staff and the lovely large airy comfortable clean double room finished off with an amazing full English breakfast in the morning. Can not recommend this place,staff,food,ales,accommodation highly enough...thank you for the great stay.

The room was tidy , clean and welcoming , Sam was a great hostess and the staff were very helpful & helpful . The food was lovely and the carvery was amazing , great value for the money , would recommend you go there

Had my wedding reception there, and my birthday weekend. This time camping with friends. There happened to be a wedding party which added to the atmosphere. The venue, food and choice of drinks are great. Sam is a great landlady, and all the staff friendly, helpful and efficient  and it was nice to see Wellington the Bassett hound making a good recovery from his op. Joni

I will openly admit that when it comes to this venue, I am more than a little bit biased. This pub plays a huge part in my family's history which is why I chose to book a table for Mother's day.  First time the chef had ever done a carvery we were told  and it was excellent. Hot plates and food, huge choice of vegetables absolutely delicious. We were a party of 13, 9adults and 4 children aged 2,3,4 and 5. Definitely looking forward to the next time.
