Me and my partner had a weekend away back In April, Calum & Beth were extremely welcoming and the newly renovated guest house was amazing. Would definitely recommend and go back again! Thank you Calum & Beth.

Amazing weekend away!

We have just returned from having a 5 night stay at
 The Beech House this lovely B&B its a homely place very welcoming Maureen the perfect host extremely helpful with bus routes and time tables Richard cooked breakfast to perfection and Lewis was also very welcoming and polite plus it's adults only all Covid restrictions were in place and we felt quite safe there is WiFi but not in the morning it comes on after breakfast not a problem it is well situated just a stroll down the road and your into the town centre for shops and places to eat from there you can walk into Bowness which is about 1 1/2 miles to the town centre great going it's all down hill coming back walking is a different story there is buses that you can catch and they are quite regular we used the buses all the five days and seen some wonderful scenery in all we can recommend this B&B and wouldn't hesitate in staying there again

Brilliant Stay and needed break

Beautiful place fantastic owners can’t do enough for you breakfast is beautiful and plenty of it loads of choice very clean a lovely warm welcome on arrival parking was ok close to the town of Windermere would definitely recommend room cleaned daily fresh towels tea and coffee in room refreshed daily we used rooms 2 & 3 would definitely stop here again if we were to visit again 

Anniversary weekend 

Maureen, the owner, is lovely and helpful, she even put a candle in my husband's breakfast sausage when she found out it was his birthday. Our room, right at the top, was very clean although the stairs are steep so not suitable for everyone. The Beech House is very close to centre of Windermere and a 25 minute walk to Bowness and the Lake. 

Short break

What you see is what you get in this quaint little guest house. Wonderfully run by Maureen and Lewis. Nothing too much trouble. Very helpful and informative on places to go and walks to try. Breakfast was fabulous and such a great choice, really sets you up for a day of exploring. Will definitely visit again.

Jewel in the lakes

What a wonderful couple of days we have had at Beech House. Our first time in the Lake District and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Maureen and Lewis have a little gem. Nothing is too much trouble. Delicious breakfast and lovely cosy room, even the homemade ginger cake was an extra touch. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse. Thanks again.

here at the weekend and totally lovely place and defo value for money .room lovely everything you need . Breakfast was to die for my husband had the full English and I had the best fruit salad ,the lake is a nice 20mins walk and also close to shops what more could you ask for

Weekend away

Stayed here for a weekend with a friend in October and had an absolutely fantastic time. Lovely hosts, great room with very comfortable beds and an excellent breakfast. Also a great location with good parking and an easy walk to plenty of restaurants. IWe couldn’t have asked for more and would absolutely stay again. Thank you for having us!

Weekend trip

This guest house is within easy walking distance of the town with plenty of eating places, although quite a hike down to the lake and harbour.  Rooms are a little on the small side and the shower was probably the smallest I have ever used!  The hostess was very welcoming and hospitable though and provided a most substantial breakfast each morning.  Internet access was good.  Recommended.

A very pleasant stay

Stayed for three nights Friday to Monday , twin room , it’s a friendly run B&B I’d call it very cheap and cheerful it’s perfectly sited for the Windermere shops pubs and restaurants, the bus stop for hop on and off busses down to Bowness is local too . The breakfast is adequate & served between 8.30 -9.00 on a pre order basis of either a small cooked affair or some fruit and yoghurt .Landlady is friendly and chatty, it feels dated but I found it charming and welcoming .
