Thanks for a really lovely stay. Clean room, very comfortable bed. Free breakfast was a nice bonus. Location was great too - close to train station and centre of town. Debbie was also very quick at responding to any queries we had. Would definitely recommend, thanks!

I have just had the pleasure of staying at Saskia’s B & B, which is offering a limited opening at the moment to key workers.  And it is the most gorgeous, magical, soothing place to escape to, in the middle of all the current anxieties in the world.  A big, sprawling Victorian house – though the décor inside is a very classy art deco.  The colour scheme is black and white with a splash of silver, so it all seems very fresh and clean and gleaming – while the owners, Debbie and Julian, have decorated it with various quirky found objects: a glitterball here, a zebra’s head there, so the overall effect is Bohemian.  As a guest, you very much get the run of the house – from the high-ceilinged lounge to the cosy kitchen, which leads onto a wonderful walled garden: the perfect place to enjoy a takeaway on a warm evening.  Breakfast is self-service: a range of breads, pastries, fruit and yoghurts were laid out for me – more than any human being could possibly manage, but Debbie was happy for me to take some away with me.  The location is 5 minutes’ walk from Winchester Station, opposite the Co-op, and next to a bus stop, so it’s busy, busy, busy.  But the moment you step inside, it’s as if you’re crossing a portal into a calmer, quieter, but quirkier place.  I hope I get to come again soon!

Oasis of calm in a busy city

We stay at Saskia and everything was so nice ! I love how is all the house...unicq !! We have breckfast in the morning with lots of things and during the night if you want 🤭🤭! We enjoy our holiday and we come with baby and we have all the conditions we need !! The weather was not good but for sure we will come back !! 

3 days in winchester

Lovely B and B with a warm welcome on entry, comfortable room, convenient for both the train station and the City - nothing was too much trouble and it felt like a home from home.  Thoroughly recommended.

Comfortable and welcoming

We booked two rooms for ourselves and friends six weeks in advance,confirming our booking four days prior to our visit and received confirmation from Saskia (copy is available).
On our arrival there was no record of our booking and Saskia was not available a young guy was there and he couldn’t offer any help and told us that his mother was always messing bookings and they had no control over bookings 
In all the property was a shambles described as bohemian I describe it as a mess and they showed no interest in there failure and I would avoid like the plague 
The only good thing to happen was her son rung another b&b called St. John’s Croft a vastly superior property at the same price
A world of difference ran by a professional couple who show both care and consideration for their guests

Shambles

I thoroughly recommend this B & B. A truly genuine warm welcome from Saskia, who has an amazing eye for decoration - I felt like I'd stepped into the pages of Homes and Gardens. My room was very comfortable, complete with kettle, coffee machine and lots of nice touches you would expect from a top-of-the-range hotel. Breakfast was as copious as it was delicious. It was the first time I had stayed somewhere "new" where I actually slept comfortably and soundly on the very first night. I now have to think of a good excuse to go back to Winchester so I can stay there again.  Thank you, Saskia, for making me feel so welcome. J x

An absolute jewel in the heart of Winchester

Very convenient B&B in a strategic location, two steps from the railway station and the historic center. The rooms are small but very neat in furnishing and supplements. A double bed from a square and a half but very comfortable. Little noise, a charming garden in the back. I made an English breakfast perfectly prepared by the charming landlady.

It's a great B&B

There is the warmest of welcomes for guests first entering this perfectly restored and beautifully decorated Victorian family home in central Winchester. My bedroom was well appointed with a very comfortable bed, a luxurious walk-in shower, and a coffee machine, fresh grapes, waters, and selection of teas. Breakfast was splendid, freshly cooked, and served in a tasteful dining room; and guests have access to a really comfy lounge. There's also a sun-trap garden for sunnier months. You are treated so well that you almost feel part of the family - I will return as often as I can.

an excellent B&B

My friend Yvette and I had a great stay at Saskia’s and she is a truly great,friendly host.
B&B is close to Station, Theatre, & Cathedral we really didn’t need a car.so ideal location.
Our twin room was comfortable with lovely crisp white bed linen. Shower was great,
Breakfast had everything and more on offer, and delicious.No set times either, which is nice not to watch the time in the morning 
We were also taken to the garden room,that we were welcome to use.
So all in all, a great stay, Saskai and her Son Tom

Brilliant stay

A nice place, close to the city center. A large bathroom, almost bigger than the bedroom. Interesting inside decoration by someone with an interest no doubt, different styles, but it fitted together in some way. Good breakfast.
The room was a little bit too small, with a suitcase each there wasn't space to move. Parking not easy, the real option was a large parking house a couple of hundred yards away.
