I read mixed reviews and wasn't sure what to expect, but it was honestly amazing. Straight away the reception staff were friendly and welcoming, explained everything very clearly and happily answered my first-timer questions! The staff in the cafe were lovely, food was simple and pricey, but very convenient. The shop staff, the life guards, the bar staff, literally every member of staff was wonderful, I can't fault them. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, we booked with a discount offer so for what we payed it was brilliant. The pool was clean, we used it everyday, and the sauna and hot tub is a fab bonus. What put this holiday head and shoulders above the rest was the entertainment. Brodie, TJ, Ruth and Chris were amazing. It was off peak so very quiet, sometimes there was only us and one other family at a daytime activity, but the entertainers made it fun no matter what, and all just seem like genuinely lovely people! The fuss they made of my daughter on her birthday will stay with her forever and Stanwix Park should be extremely proud of their team. We will 100% be coming back.

Absolutely amazing! Entertainment was spot on and kids thoroughly enjoyed it, lots to do for adults and kids! With it being within Easter holidays the pool was a bit busy at times but that was no fault of the park. Security at night was also so good with kids, my little one kept disappearing at one point they brought her back to the table as they had seen us following and bringing her back regularly. Shop staff friendly and welcoming as always. Cafe was a bit overpriced for what we got but was nice. Kids were gutted to leave and can’t wait to come back again later in the year!

 I book every year and every year it only gets better, this year was the best yet with the panto! I can’t believe the talent within the entertainment team. One team member that stood out for my girls was Ruth, so patient with my girls. All team members were 10/10 for me and my family.  

All I’ve heard from the kids is “when the chicken attacks, I’ll fill him with dread, with the flick of my sword I’ll chop off his head” and asking when they are seeing Roxy and foxy again.

Amazing time, booked again already

Great family run park. Staff are amazing and fantastic entertainment system. Our little boy is autistic and it is one of his favourite places. The accommodation is always clean and top notch.  We have been on multiple occasions over the years and always enjoyed it.

From when we arrived to when we left the staff were amazing. They were there to help with anything we needed and the entertainment was the best we have had in many many years. Liam and his team are great and many years to come at this holiday park.

A family run holiday park , that out ranks all the big names!
Amazing facilities, pool, jacuzzi, sauna steam room, foot spas and heated loungers , and all areas spotlessly clean.
Entertainment? Fabulous, 3 generations in our party and something for everyone.
The Panto was the highlight. Funny, well acted and great costumes , hope they make it a regular feature.
The entertainment team are great. Loved the nineties v noughties show, cracking singing by all especially Brodie.
If I had to make one suggestion, it would be to have more hairdryers in the changing rooms ( only 2 , but 1 not working) and a costume wringer.

Best family run holiday park

Currently sitting in the Sunset Inn with my family. The entertainment is Malky's Oompah spectualar. Well clearly this man was found in the gutter and from the Jimmy Saville era. For a family show, the sexual innuendos were totally unacceptable. To make it worse there was a party celebrating a big birthday. At one point, adults were invited up to stage, which included a woman from said party. What followed can only be described as a complete disgrace. The entertainer clearly found the woman attractive and the sexual innuendos which followed were highly inappropriate, not only to this poor woman but also to the audience. Just because people laugh at your mysogimistic comments does not make it right. What made it worse was that the Stanix staff found it hilarious. At the end he asked the woman to kiss him on the cheek only for him to turn, which meant that she inadvertently kissed him on the lips. FGS I thought we had moved forward and with the Jimmy Saville scandal and now Russell Brand situation, when are men going to realise that this type of behaviour is not appropriate in any shape or form. Absolutely appalled to have been in the audience tonight and if Stanix want to be associated with this type of entertainer then you should be disgusted in yourself!

The most mysogimistic entertainer ever/

Stayed at Stanwix, Silloth on a family tent camping trip. It was only our 2nd tent camping trip, 2 adults and girls 4 and 6, so we are fairly inexperienced campers. The pitches are hard standing so it is important that you bring heavy duty tent pegs, I was glad I checked they were needed beforehand. I'd also recommend matting of some kind if possible.
The WC facilities are dated but clean enough and sufficient. There was also a campers kitchen and laundry available. 
The site has a wide range of facilities with indoor and outdoor pools, 10 pin bowling, arcades, cafe, play parks and a range of activities and events on with a large centre with a range of bars and event spaces. Despite some bad weather on a couple of days there was plenty to keep the kids entertained. 
At the weekend the evening cabaret shows were quite busy and you had to be in sharp to get a good seat. There is a good selection of beers on draft and the prices were fairly reasonable. The one major drawback is that there is only one cafe on site and it is very basic. That said it isn't too far into Silloth where there are a couple of takeaway and sit down options to eat. 
Overall we had a great time and I found the wide range of leisure facilities on offer impressive. Some parts of the park are quite dated but all in all it was very good and I would go there again. 

Great family camping trip

The wonderful place I will be reviewing is Stanwix Park in Silloth-on-solloway. I always love going to Stanwix. It’s always lovely when the song of the birds wake you up in the morning. 

To give you an idea of what it’s like, when you first arrive you will see a great big building in front of you. In that building there is a swimming pool, entertainment, cafe, bowling, arcade and a reception where you can sign in. After that you can relax in your caravan. You can go into the pool (which is inside) and as soon as you open the door to the changing rooms the smell of chlorine drifts up your nose. When you’ve got changed with a hop and a skip you jump into the cooling, refreshing water. After that, you can have a bite to eat, have a bowl or try to win something in the arcade. And as soon as you know it, it’s  7 o’clock and time to meet Roxy and Foxy. At the sunset inn.

The thing I love most about it how close it is to the town because sometimes there are festivals on and trust me when I said there really fun. All the things that go on at the festivals are really fun and thrilling. Another thing I like is that if you don’t want to eat anything at the cafe you can order something from a place called Mario’s ,(it’s not in the site). 

It’s Amazing and I would definitely make sure to recommend it to a friend. Their will be something for everyone.

Amazing

Second visit for us, this time we opted for a Coniston chalet. Room was more than adequate, well equipped and plenty of storage space. 

  Entertainment was really good, especially the animal show, would recommend.

  Drinks are reasonably priced £4.40 a pint for Cruzcampo, we did take a quantity of our own to keep costs down.

   Would absolutely give the thumbs up for Stanwix, however we did hear prices are rising for next year so doubt we’ll be rushing back.

Nice little break

We booked on recommendation and have had a fantastic 😀 experience.  From booking up the customer service has been exceptional. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly.  The toilets, showers and baths were immaculate day and night.  we camped and the pitch was spacious and having your own tap was a great touch. There is a communal kitchen with 4 hobs and microwaves, again, spotless. The launderette is too. 
My daughter loved the play park which had mini golf. The swimming pool had sauna and steam rooms and a jacuzzi for age 10 plus. There is a slide, foot spas too.
Entertainment was on offer during the day, animal handling, films, dance lessons etc. Evening entertainment was fantastic and everyone worked so hard to make sure everyone had fun.
The onside shop is great and sells everything you need. The staff were so friendly too.
we walked into Silloth which was absolutely beautiful.  The coast was breathtaking. There are quaint little shops and a fantastic atmosphere.  We explored the splash pads at the park and the hidden  play park in the forest. We cut through the bowling green, there was another play park there too! 
We were extremely impressed and would 💯 percent return.

This is a caravan park NOT a 5 star hotel. it's super clean, the staff are amazing and you will make amazing memories here.
