My wife stayed here with 4 friends to attend a National Rover car show in Olney. Our friends arrived early evening and had a very good evening meal, unfortunately we did not arrive until about 9.45pm very tired after a 5 hour journey. The owners were very helpful and gave us both special fish sandwiches which were excellent. All six of us agreed that our stay of two nights could not have been bettered our breakfasts were more than ample and the rooms were comfortable. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to this area, Thank you.

We visited this fabulous pub on the Jubilee Bank Holiday. Whilst the garden looked enticing in the summer sunshine,we decided to eat inside. The menu is extensive and the meals (fish & chips and goulash with dumplings, followed by sticky toffee pudding and cheesecake) were excellent. The food really was home-cooked and flavoursome. It was so nice to have well-seasoned tasty food which isn’t smothered in garlic!
The landlord was very helpful, friendly and efficient. They took the brave step of taking over the pub in 2020 and are currently refurbishing the rooms. He was explaining that the food has a Polish influence, but is altered slightly for English tastes. It’s already been nominated for awards. 
We will definitely return and highly recommend this fabulous pub.

Stayed there for 3 weeks ...friendly country pub.rooms spacious and comfy..food very good and good choice of beers .....hospitality very good and friendly bar staff..

I suspect I lucked out here, because the place was busy, I was moved 50 or so yards down the road to 'The Barn' which was effectively an apartment with separate sitting room, bathroom and bedroom. Lovely spot.
The staff were a delight throughout, breakfast was great and frankly couldn't have been more pleased.
Not sure I'd have felt the same if I'd have been upstairs but I wasn't!!!!

The Barn Rules!!

We had a lovely room, a warm welcome from freindly staff, and a breakfast I could have eaten twice! Wish we could have stayed longer.Very relaxed atmosphere the village is very secluded and quiet, compliments to all, would happily stay again

great to finally have the pub reopened both as a bar,restaurant and takeaway after so long closed.
came in for a drink and pick up a takeaway.
great to see a few locals having a drink and the new owner chatting away.
early days and im sure a few teething problems but just so lovely to see the hub of the village reopen.

Wet & gloomy day but good Sunday lunch; good service; very pleasant staff. Best of all, no awful background 'music' - you can hear yourself and your companion speak, without irritation. Altogether, a rare combination. I shall be back.

Nice

Stayed at this pub for a recent business trip. It should be lovely as it is an old pub in a pretty village. Sadly it isn’t much cop. The decor is plain and cold - needs a bit of imagination to make it warmer and more welcoming. The food and the lady behind the bar in the evening were brilliant though. Can’t say the same for those on duty at breakfast. Not at all friendly. Almost hostile. Strange attitude for people in the hospitality industry! 

Missing a trick

Rooms were booked for a wedding and staff involved in a domestic violence incident which ruined the stay.  Hotel dispute this even though there were 3 rooms witness to this.  Shower door also fell off on pregnant girl in the bath, so dangerous and hotel response was that she pulled it off.  B&B are incredibly defensive and although they waived the cost of the room for the shower incident they pretended nothing else happened.  Violent incident and shouting was completely unacceptable and staff refused to offer any compensation.
