Stayed at Ranvilles with my partner, 2 year old son and our dog.

Hosts were fabulous and welcoming.

We had an absolutely fabulous time. The barn was perfect. Spacious, well equipped and cosey. Just right if you have a young one.

Lovely bathroom. Comfortable seating area and ideal kitchen. Photo’s don’t do it justice.

During our stay we visited Lyndhurst, Beaulieu, the Isle of Wight and Stonehenge. All were in easy driving distance. Romsey itself was also lovely. The Cromwell Arms and Three Tuns were great pubs to visit. 

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend anyone staying here.

Fabulous, relaxing and cosey.

Lovely accommodation with a lot of historical books and pictures, very informative.  Clean and comfortable, fully equipped with all the necessities.  Gorgeous grounds, fields and flowers.  Friendly hosts.  Stayed in Courtyard Wing for Jubilee weekend.

Long weekend break, lovely stay

Wonderful old country farm house in extensive gardens. Warm welcome from the hosts and a nice room with very comfy bed. Full English breakfast was very good and a selection of cereals including some home made fruit compote.

Very pleasant B&B in beautiful location

This farm house is situated in a beautiful location. I have read the negative reviews and what I will say is, have some respect for someone else’s home, their pride and joy. It is a B & B but also their home which they both love. Let the owners know when you’re leaving and ETA and knock when you arrive. They are a lovely couple of with an interesting background and it’s always nice to ask questions and show interest.

Moving onto the rooms, we have stayed many times with my parents and two children. It is what it is, it’s an old farm house. It’s going to have cracks and that old feel to it. It’s not dirty, it’s kept clean. 

As it’s a B & B, there are shops and take away options but don’t be a slob and sneak up to your room. The dining room is large and will cater for everyone to sit comfortably around. Plates and cutlery is provided.

Breakfast: we had nice bacon, locally sourced. The rest was ok. Nice coffee, fruit and a selection of cereals / pastries. Again, it’s not a 5 star hotel so just enjoy it for what it is.

We haven’t been since lockdown and we can’t wait to stay again for during our next visit to Hampshire.

Beautiful location, please read this before the negative reviews

Stayed here for 3 nights and was well looked after.  The place is very traditionally English, 13th century I believe, has real character and the host was welcoming and helpful.
The room was spacious and clean.  Tea and coffee tray in the room.  The breakfast was tasty and served promptly and was lovely and hot.  The homemade compote and jams and marmalade were delicious.  
The place is really near Paultons Park and the New Forest.
A nice place to stay for a few day’s.  Thank you 

Traditional English B and B

Ranvilles is a beautiful spot and we enjoyed a comfortable self-catering stay in The Granary. 

The apartment was clean and equipped with all that we needed for a short break. The convenience of being only a five minute drive from Paultons Park was ideal although The Granary isn’t really set up for young children given the steep stairs (there is a stair gate), high stools/breakfast bar and lack of blinds on the sky lights. It was fine for a couple of nights with a four year old though. Next time, I might opt for one of the other rooms/units. 

The owners were on holiday and we were looked after by the house sitter who was lovely and helpful.

Comfortable and very handy for Paultons

We stayed here for 3 nights in transit for taking up a key worker position on Guernsey with our dog. The farm was beautiful and we had the self catering cottage attached to the main house- set on a lovely courtyard and the cottage was lovely, well equipped and very comfortable. The bed was super comfortable!! The welcome pack was second to none including fresh farm produce- the home made marmalade was delicious and lovely fresh eggs. The hosts were so friendly and helpful and we were able to use the garden area and a huge bonus for the dog- a field across the garden where we could take her to run-perfect. All in all, a really lovely stay and a big thank you  to our hosts.

Fantastic stay for key worker during difficult times

Had an overnight stay at the beautiful ransville farm house, Anthea and Bill not forgetting their gorgeous billie and Bertie made us very welcome. Lovely home cooked breakfast. Will definitely come again and recommend to family and friends.

Ransville farm

Very attentive and helpful hosts, beautiful farmhouse with original features. Fabulous breakfast with many options including fresh fruit. Quiet location very close to Romsey. Will return if we are back in the area.

One night stay

This cottage is beautiful & full of old English character, an amazing place to stay. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds & the shower was great. The hosts Anthea & Bill were very welcoming & accommodating, we would definitely book again.
