We booked one night at the Queen Victoria, had a lovely friendly welcome on arrival , our room was bigger than we were expecting but lovely clean and fresh .However the shower was a bit concerning as it was very hot to touch .We had evening meal in the restaurant and it was prepared and cooked lovely typical of pub meals . We took at drink back to our room and sat on the patio which was enjoyable as lovely weather . Shame some of view is the car park but you mostly see the pub garden .We had a very enjoyable stay and will return. Room had tea/ coffee facilities in .TV etc .However no breakfast cooked  week days , but we were told of few places just a small walk away  that do breakfast s and so we try someone else for no breakfast. The owner was a lovely lady ,

Modest but clean comfortable room. Plenty of hot water to shower. Nice evening meal ( also special meal nights). Down side no breakfasts (only Saturday & Sunday)

I stayed for one night.  The room was clean and a good size. I would definitely recommend that the mattress in the room I stayed in is changed, it has a very noticeable dip in it which made for an uncomfortable sleep. Although advertised as bed and breakfast there isn’t breakfast mon-Friday no huge issue as the hotel down the road did a non resident breakfast that was very good.

We really enjoyed the peacefulness and the fact that the hotel rooms were separate from the pub itself. Clean, spacious rooms with everything you need for a quick break. The area the queen victoria is set is conveniently placed with quick access to public transport, and the local coop. There were a couple of negatives, one being that the double bed I stayed in had a broken divan base which made the mattress dip and so was quite an uncomfortable sleep. The other being the staff and service. We found they were quite short with us and when ordering a drink, will ignore you in the bar for as long as they can with no courtesy of asking how our room or our stay is going, despite seeing us waiting. Understandable if it had been busy. Another incident came on the first night trying to order food. We were met with a short "not doing food tonight" with no explanation as to why, or any signs to warn potential customers. When asking about other options, we tried to explain we have no transport (car) and the lady (didn't get her name) held her hand up in my face and told me to let her speak, which we found rather rude. They suggested we ordered a takeaway to be delivered to the carpark. However, we found another local hotel just a short walk away that were serving dinner and we ended up having a delicious meal and a lovely evening of drinks in the warm sun.Overall we enjoyed our time, however, I don't think we will be returning to the hotel. 3/5 based on room and location.

Stayed 2 nights due to going to a family party and wanting somewhere close by. Clean and comfortable, ideal for what i needed. Bed was really comfortable.If i had to pick a fault, i would say to get some brighter colours, it was very dark inside.Would definitely stay again.

Just called in for a sandwich at lunchtime, and for wife to take her medication with a lemonade. She has Parkinson's and dementia so always a challenge. She managed to knock over her glass of lemonade, but the staff were understanding and helped me swipe up. Our tuna sandwich was excellent. the staff were very caring for her. Thankyou Queen Victoria!

Do NOT eat here. The food is the worst food I've ever eaten and for the price??? Ridiculous.

I'm shocked they actually serve this rubbish with a straight face. I'm certain it's all bought frozen from the local supermarket and then sold at a premium.

After a long morning dog walk we were delighted to find the Queen Victoria we’re able to provide us  a great Sunday roast lunch, and offered dog chews & water bowl for the dogs  - which was a lovely gesture. Staff helpful & friendly. Will definitely visit again.

Tasty Sunday Lunch

My partner and I were fortunate to get a table for dinner last night, we had a lovely meal the hosts were friendly and welcoming and Covid arrangements in place, we had a lovely meal you won’t be disappointed, if you don’t order the Burger.. your going to be kicking yourself when you see someone else with one it was brilliant and I don’t think I’ve had a burger that’s a good 30mm of thick well cooked meat like that keep up the good work!  

Great pub friendly people great food

What a pity! Very limited menu, very poor choice, seated next to the kitchen which reeked of chip fat. A basic food provider, yet priced not too far off it's far superior neighbour. Very disappointing. Won't be returning.
