We booked the smallest, least expensive room, and it was perfect. Excellent water pressure and lots of hot water in the shower. No noise from other guests or from the street. It even had a view of Salisbury cathedral. Breakfast was excellent - full breakfast cooked to order and lots of buffet choices, too. And all this only a block or two from the cathedral close. Easy walk from the rail station as well.  We’ll be back.

great stay

II went for business in a dead period for a touristic town like Salisbury. Because of that, I had the full attention of the staff and a lovely, big room. I felt I was back on time. I definitively recommend if you are looking for a cozy B&B, not pretentious. The breakfast is modest, but they cook on the spot if you request a full English Breakfast.

I felt like Miss Marple

Friendly helpful bed & breakfast.
We called at short notice.
They accepted a late booking and they accepted our dog!
When we asked for extra time to check out, they agreed without question.
Very nice simple cooked breakfast. 2 eggs, sausage bacon and tomatoes. 

Weekend away

stayed here one night @ Christmas , nice room , bit old fasioned , but cheap ish , down sides , very dirty bed  window , hot tap hardly worked.
Plus side , nice & war m , & great selection @ breakfast that's inc .
Real down side , NO CHRISTMAS DECS , ANYWHERE . : (

Stansbury
A quaint clean apartment with a dressing in a country French decor. Nice view of the cobble stone street below. We were on the upper floor which is a bit of a hike for us with a rambunctious toddler in tow. We saw routers on our floor but the internet signal was weak in the room. Hot breakfast was served in a dining room off the front  door. Lots of choices and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Centrally located within walking distance of the train station and all of the local sites. Lots of hot water and good pressure in the pipes. The room can get a little chilly in the morning, but I guess that's England for you. Definitely recommend to people who want an authentic country experience.

Very helpful and friendly staff. 

Comfortable room. Stayed in the superior double room.  Appreciated the fan in the bedroom. Located on a fairly quiet street. Parking is annoying (free on street after 6 and in Sunday's. Or car park down the road approx 5mins walk. I think they also offer on street permits for £7 per day).

Breakfast was nice but no beans which was disappointing. Choice of cereal, toast, dried fruit, nuts and yoghurt. Help yourself coffee and tea. 

Shower support was broken so made showering not so easy. (Needs to be replaced) 

Also attention to detail with cleaning is needed. The room had been cleaned; fresh sheets and clean bathroom, but found a pair of abandoned sandals under the bed and a used tube of toothpaste in the bathroom. Doesn't give the best impression. 

Great location, right near the cathedral and close (walking) distance to town centre. I stayed here with my baby. They didn't have a cot available but we're happy for me to bring mine and there was plenty of room for it. No extra charge for her. 

Tea and coffee facilities in bedroom but only 1 packet of twin biscuits to share (bit stingy). Nice choice of teas. 

Overall I would stay again but with a few changes and attention to detail this place would get 5 stars from me. 

With a few changes it could be great

Good for a budget stay, if you want five stars then pay for it. Room was clean , breakfast adequate, location very good, less than ten minutes from town. would stay again. Tip, park in Culver Street car park, free on Saturday after 3 and all day Sunday. Room 7 has view of cathedral.

Did what it needed to

We booked here pre lockdown for a family celebration which like many things was cancelled. The owners agreed to defer the reservation so we rescheduled for end September.
Communication was limited but when standing outside the front door to check in we did get an access code and we’re told our room number.
It was clean and served its purpose but it was very cold that evening and there were no additional blankets around so I had an uncomfortable night.
No mention of breakfast not being available had been made but the dining room was clearly out of action.
A suggestion of another local business where we could have gone to would have been appreciated, if for no other reason to support a local business.
With a mother in law living in Salisbury and regular visits needed we will be looking for an alternative venue. Shame.

Could have been so much better

We paid £7 a day per car to allow us to park near the B&B and not have to walk too far with our luggage. We were searching for nearly an hour for parking spaces, and eventually found 2 that were situated 2 streets away, not ideal really. The premises were much as we expected, basic and clean. Comfortable beds and a good shower. We were happy with the breakfast.

Parking was a problem

Room is clean, small and minimalist in its provisions. The shower dribbles water at best so wash your hair in the sink. There is no receptionist so if you need something you will need access to a phone. You need a code to get in the front door and there is no "personal service". The code will come in an email so you will need internet. The bed is comfortable. The word for this B&B is minimalist.
