Loved staying here! We read some reviews after booking and worried but we needn't have, it's a lovely place, staff are the nicest people you could meet, rooms lovely and spacious, location spot on, bathrooms really clean, no complaints at all, loved it

Brilliant!

We booked and saw reviews after so we were worried. But we’re super pleased when we arrived to a friendly welcome and clean nice room. We were made to feel super welcome throughout stay. Location couldn’t be beaten and enjoyed spending time in bars in property. Door staff friendly and helpful. 11am checkout bonus after night out. Definitely the place to come to if u staying for reason of having good time. We stayed in quad room 101. All staff from checking In to checking out, bar staff and door staff amazing.

Heart of the party

This hotel is in desperate need of an update! We booked on booking.com and the photo’s are nothing like what we walked in too! The rooms were dirty, frame to the tv was broken,curtain falling off the walls, marks all over the walls, floor, tables, shower etc. You couldn’t close the bathroom door, the main bedroom door had a big gap from the floor, you could hear everyone talking from the other rooms.

Worst stay!

The photos say it all, booking.com  let me post a review but  wouldnt let me edit it properly. Handy location but the Hotel exterior door is hard to open, the carpets on the stairs up to the rooms, absolutely stink , no other word for it.  the door to the corridor to where the rooms are was badly fitted and usually left open as its hard to secure. The room door lock was also fitted badly.  A door hinge looked more like an actual beaver had done it han anyone loosely called a joiner !   Tiny shower/ toilet room which i could touch ALL the walls whilst sitting on the loo.  Tiny sink makes it very ver hard to fill a kettle.  B edspings were only covered by one layer of materiel !  Radiator not working even though it was -7 outside. The " view" out of the window is terrible and the window is only there for legal reasons !  Far too noisy with thin walls from other rooms and if you have read this far, remember this room was described as a Deluxe! double. I would never have stayed there with anyone else !

Worst room ever described as a " Deluxe  Room " !

I have stayed at this hotel/bar on a few occasions and have always been happy with my stay. On this occasion, I booked in and went up to my room but was unable to enter due to a broken lock. The staff were wonderful, offering me drinks while I waited and when it became apparent that the room could not be accessed. They made arrangements for me to stay in a different hotel a 5 minute walk away at no additional cost to myself. The only reason I marked them down was that I never got to stay there that night. Once again my sincerest thanks to the staff who went above and beyond. I will be back. 

Not what I planned but a good outcome nonetheless. 

I stayed here overnight after a flight landing at Manchester Airport. The location is good, near to both Piccadilly station and Chorlton Street coach station. Check-in was easy (you check in at the REM bar round the corner). The room was light and airy with a fan, fridge, kettle, desk, TV and two single beds. There were two shared bathrooms, both of which were clean. I wasn’t affected by any noise from the street or from the bar downstairs (the hotel is slap bang in the middle of the Gay Village), but to be fair my stay was on a Tuesday night. Check-out is via a metal drip box. The only issue I had is that the door handle dropped off in the middle of the night and I had no way of letting shy Ive know as the bar was closed both when it happened and when I checked out on the morning. Thankfully, this didn’t stop me being able to get in or out of the bedroom!!!

Overnight stay

This small hotel is fantastic. We stayed in an Ensuite room the shower was so good. The location is so good too. The staff are so friendly. The Thursday night disco isn't as bad as other reviews say just like being abroad really. Would we stay again you bet we would. Oh and a burger, pizza, fried chicken 4 yrds away nom nom. 



Brilliant Hotel 

20 years popping in, stopped at door at 3pm Sst by aggressive doorman
Went on to drop into nearly every other bat in village no bother
Convo went,    him  " yes"
me  " hello"
him  " what you want?"
me  " a beer"
him just standing there
It was 3pm Sat.

For some reason my review of the bar got removed

Stayed here for two nights with friends for the first time.great place.check in was easy lovely rooms flat screen tv heater and fan also tea and coffee facilities....we had a shared bathroom on the floor Wich was lovely and clean .I would definitely stay here again I highly recommend this place

Fantastic

Basic room ok  but needs at least a sink as have to get water from a shared bathroom 
Broken bed impossible to sit on the bed as first time I went through the broken slats to the floor managed to get some back on myself but had to climb in bed over the base from the bottom of the bed 
The noise level from the showbar was off the scale we did expect some noise but it was like being in the bar and it went on until 5am had to come home as booked 2 nights but was unbearable after no sleep .
The barman just shrugged couldn't care less but if you are intending on staying out all night it's OK as its right on canal street 
Sadly it won't allow me to put the photo of the bed on
