Set on the edge of the town overlooking grazing New Forest ponies and woodland, this is an location for exploring the area. A short walk (5 minutes) takes you to the many shops, restaurants and pubs of Lyndhurst. There was some noise from passing traffic but not enough to be a bother. The room we stayed in was very light and airy and everywhere was very clean. Rosetta, the host, was very friendly and helpful, both on the phone beforehand and on arrival. Unfortunately she was admitted to hospital on the first night so we didn’t see her before we left. Our best wishes go to her for a speedy recovery. In her absence, her auntie did an admirable job of holding the fort.

Great Place to Stay

Great guest house. Nothing too much trouble for our host Rosetta who was wonderful.  Room was very clean and warm. A great location to visit just about anywhere and a short 5 min walk into Lyndhurst. The forest is just across  a busy road where there is access to wonderful walks. A lovely Italian restaurant 2 mins walk away which is excellent.  The people in Lyndhurst are generally very friendly in all the cafes, pubs and restaurants. We will definitely be back. Thank you Rosetta. Sharon and Mike

Great location

What a lovely place to stay. Comfortable and spacious room. Great host. Within walking distance of the town. Very close to the New Forest and in the centre of the south coast.  Plenty to do around the area. Couldn't believe how close we were to the animals in the Forest

New forest Break. Forest Side Guest House

We had a good welcome, Room was very spacious and airy with a  large bathroom and great shower.  Breakfast had plenty of choice, and was served to you. Town was an easy walk with nice shops and eating places. Really enjoyed our stay, would return in the future.  Very Covid safe. We eat at the Italian and Surfing Moo Moo both very good.

Lovely Stay

Welcoming staff and wonderful location. We felt very well looked after and the staff seemed genuinely interested in how our stay went. Shout out to the breakfast waitress who was extremely attentive and the cooked breakfast which was 10/10. Great having a car park on site. The guest house is only a 5-10 minute walk to the high street. Recommend the Italian near the guesthouse and the cheese and wine bar. Both superb! Covid precautions taken seriously so knew we were in good hands!!

Had a great stay. Highly recommend

We have had a four night stay at Forest Side and it’s our last night tonight.  Our room (number 2) is at the top of the house. It’s bright with lots of space and a large en-suite with a nice hot shower. The room is spotless and the bed super comfy.  The breakfast which you pre-order is divine, it set us up for the day. Due to COVID the hosts get you what you want from the breakfast bar which works very well and when finished your cooked breakfast arrives. It’s a really lovely atmosphere in the mornings.  There is free parking on site. All in all an excellent, comfortable and delicious stay from perfect hosts. Thank you very much indeed.

Perfect Stay

We stayed for four nights in a double and a twin room. Both rooms were very comfortable and spacious. 
A warm welcome from David who was very helpful. 
Breakfast was superb with lots of choice,  delivered to us at the table by very friendly staff member, (called Nicola we think) and it set us up for the day. 
Good COVID awareness and hygiene throughout. 
Great location within walking distance of numerous good restaurants, pubs and cycle hire and the forest across the road. 
We had a wonderful break and we thoroughly recommend this guest house.

Very welcoming and comfortable

Excellent accommodation, David is a very good host,you get a very good and hot breakfast, it's very clean 👌 close to the village that has some very good restaurants, if you enjoy Indian then you'll get no better than Indian Fusion, the Crown Hotel is also very good although a little expensive also the Italian restaurant almost next door is also Excellent.

Great place to stay

David could not have been more welcoming or informative. The room was clean and tidy with everything we needed. Breakfast had a wide choice and friendly service. A great guesthouse within a short walk of the centre of Lyndhurst. Well worth a visit.

Perfect location, great service.

We had a two night break here.  The  property was extremely clean and decorated tastefully in this beautiful building.  Breakfast was superb and get the feeling the hosts would put themselves out to make your stay enjoyable.  We had a great stay and would definitely recommend. Thank you David for a wonderful stay!   Oh and great location!
