Went for a walk with my son and his girlfriend up to the waterfall, Cwm Nantcol, then down for a hot chocolate at the Vic. Ended up having salt and pepper chips and pecan pie with custard. My son had something from the specials menu: BBQ honey chicken, had chips on the side and red cabbage slaw. He loved it. Well impressed with the salt and pepper chips.
A decent sized free car park behind the shops.
Dog friendly.
Very pleased with the ladies'  loos.

Hen ffash charm. Nice and welcoming.

After a long day of travel and dog walking at shell island we picked this place in a rush, it looked lovely from the front with good parking.
It was the worst food ever .. very dry chips and the mist tough beef burger I have ever had served to me and this place is not cheap the coleslaw was funny tasting so the very small portion was a bonus  .. £17 for my burger and chips 
I gave the majority to my dogs despite being very hungry myself.

Despite the pub being exceptionally busy , we still had a really lovely meal in comfortable surroundings. Staff were polite and food was good. Poor weather meant we didn’t use the garden but it did look really lovely, maybe next year. If you’re a couple, table 4 by the window is a good position.

Cosy and Convivial

Had lunch here twice while on a weekend away. Food was good with good portions also. I recommend the Anglesey burger. Good selection of beers. Very busy on Saturday afternoon. The surroundings are very pleasant with a nice garden which has a river running through it.

Good food, nice place

Stayed at the Victoria Inn for a friends wedding in nearby Barmouth. 
The Victoria Inn was fabulous! Only 5 rooms and we had room 2. Very comfy and clean. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Pub atmosphere was excellent and chatted to some of the locals. Breakfast was outstanding and included in the price.
Plenty of parking available. 
Can't criticise anything.

The food really was good and the pub nice and inviting and very warm and cosy.
Found the front of house just didn't do it justice.
The guy delivering cutlery appeared to not have a voice or smile and the guy behind the bar could have maybe kept away from his chips and phone while there's messy tables to be cleared 😉

Very good food. Service just missing something.

A lovely atmosphere summer or winter. We have been eating and drinking here for many years. The lunchtime menu is fairly limited but whatever you order is always well presented, lovely and hot and really tasty. Staff are always polite and attentive.
Would highly recommend.

Great pub to visit for a meal or just a few drinks. Lovely food and great friendly service.

I placed a review on site but I think the hotel took it down.
So here goes again. Location of hotel very nice. Hotel not clean at all. Rooms dirty. Floor filthy and I had to clean this myself. Bathroom dirty tiles filthy. Bar area and restaurant not the cleanest. Blinds and windows dirty.
The carpet going upstairs smelled of dogs and needed a clean.  Very disappointing stay. Staff not very friendly either.
First evening of arrival - food not being served as advertised as decided to close kitchen on Tuesday not Monday due to Bank holiday. Told to go to neighbouring pubs - no food only guests only so therefore had a pastie from the shop on bench across the road. Not good customer service and no forewarning we would not be served a meal. Hopefully this review will stay on here otherwise what's the point if hotels take them off.

Not very clean hotel

Always a pleasure to return.  Yet again we had a lovely meal, waited no longer than expected and food was great.  Prices no different to what you'd expect.  We will most definitely be returning when we visit the area.

Lovely pub & meal

We only ate here, great location very helpful staff, but menu basic pub food at bistro prices. Part of the Robinson's chain, but they do there best with what there supplied, great outside eating drinking area by the river, parking available but the village badly needs a bypass.
