I just wanted to mention that me and two of my colleagues came in earlier in the week (for the first time) for some food as we have recently moved in to a new office in the area and we were all very impressed with the level of good old fashioned customer service that we received from Trish. She really went above and beyond and it was hugely appreciated.

We will definitely be visiting again and just wanted to say thank you. Luke

Cosy and comfortable room but no food available if you arrive after 7pm (I arrived at 6:50 and they’d already stopped serving, which is very early for dinner) or if you need to be away at a reasonable hour in the morning, as breakfast doesn’t start until 7:30am.

Nice rooms small but every thing you need. Beds really comfy. 
Very clean.
Rooms are in a very nice little courtyard at the back off the pub.
The food in the bar is good pub food.
Staff are very polite and helpful.
Will definitely return definitely good value for money.

Great value breakfast and lovely staff. We called for breakfast before visiting Oulton hall. Will definitely call again if over that way. Free parking and nice interior.
We had the full English and everything was great. Also nice to pay up front so once we finished we could go straight away

Lovely friendly staff and good value.

Stayed here as we were attending a wedding at Oulton hall and this was a short walk away. We could not fault this accommodation it was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast in the morning was great. I would stay here again.

Great value for money

We had a lovely breakfast with the family, the staff were very accommodating with my mums food intolerance and the coffee is lovely. It had a really calm and friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back for another family meal - and several coffees!

Breakfast for the family

Pub local to our house, don’t frequent often but we’ve now been for the last time.
No draughty ales on, menu choices out of stock, had to resort to 4th choice. Pies came, had clearly been reheated several times, pastry was tough and inedible, filling poor. Mashed potato the strangest texture with a thick skin from being reheated. Veg was ok, well cooked but not very warm

Poor food and poor beer choice

Quite small and compact rooms but everything you need for a short stay.very clean and tidy.tv with lots of channels. Tea,coffee machine.breakfast included we had full English breakfast which was lovely and set us up for the day.our second stay here and will definitely stay again as we visit family locally.

Perfect overnight stay

Accommodation is away from the main building and is in a new condition .Clean and serviced daily.Breakfast from 7:30 am was useful for work Only slight downside is they stop serving food at 6:45 which  is ok most of the time but if your late back you will have to go look for somewhere else.Overall very good

Excellent value

Helpful staff re: late check-in so that was good. Breakfast staff were lovely.However(!), it almost feels like a duty to say this: when I entered the room there was a terrible smell of stinky feet, the place was loaded with mould, and the bathroom reeked of raw sewage. The carpet leading into the bathroom was wet when I arrived. As I said, I arrived late so I couldn’t find another hotel. I just bunkered down and tried to sleep whilst inhaling feet pong, mould, and sewage smells. So there you go… I’m guessing that a local environmental agency would have a field day.
