We spent one night in the ground floor bedroom which was lovely. The bathroom was very large and we particularly appreciated the good shower pressure.  The shared areas are beautifully decorated and spacious. We had dinner at the Old School House which was most enjoyable. Angie was very friendly and welcoming.
Can highly recommend.

Lovely Stay

We stayed for two nights in the room on the ground floor. Everything was spotlessly clean and the seperate bathroom with roll-top bath was a welcome treat after all the hiking we had been doing. The breakfast was help yourself but we really enjoyed that as the kitchen was really well equipped and gave us the option of eating in if we wanted to. The coffee was really nice too. The views from the property were beautiful and there were some nice places to eat down the road. The old school house was very good but recommend booking in advance. It was a great base for what we wanted to do which was Coral beach, the storr, Kilt rock and Quiraing (my favourite). Dunvegan Castle is also close by. 

Comfortable, clean and great location

My son and I arrived on Skye needing a comfortable night’s stay but little could have prepared us for the impressive, spacious and state-of-the-art Brae cottage.

Angie the hostess welcomed us with typical Skye warmth, giving us great recommendations of things to do. 

We’re definitely coming back!

The Wow factor

This is slightly different to other B&Bs in that breakfast is a self cater but everything is there for you in fridge. 

All the accommodation is spotlessly clean and comfortable. 

We stayed in room one on ground floor with its own hall way room and en-suite. 

There is an open plan kitchen and diner which is extensive and of course where you’ll meet the other guests but you can prepare a meal if you want no problem just leave it clean and tidy! 

There’s a separate lounge too. 

Plenty of parking too. 

We stayed one night but wished we’d stayed another instead of moving on because it’s a nice place to be to explore Skye. 

Book the Old School house for your evening meal just down the road you won’t be disappointed.

The host Angie was brilliant with her communication with lots advice on how to get there. 

Tip: if you want a cooked breakfast grab a few  supplies eggs bacon etc before you arrive but otherwise we found the continental offering just fine. 

 

Lovely place to stay 

Fantastic set up at Brae Cottage.  House is spotless and comfortable. Continental breakfast supplied  - all fresh. Easy to find and walking distance of pub/restaurant. Angie is a great host, booking easy and she has all the info you need to enhance your trip to Skye!!

Overnight stay

Completely independent house with 3 separate rooms very modern and spacious. shared bathroom, living room, kitchen and jacuzzi. Everything is well organized.

Independent house

We took only a room in this spacious 3BR house and had our own private area just off the kitchen. During our stay, a family took the 2 bedrooms upstairs. We shared the 2 living rooms and large kitchen very comfortably. There was plenty of parking space available. Full amenities in the bathroom and kitchen.
Even though we didn't actually see our host, she was fully available to advise us on check-in, respond to questions, etc.
Good value for a comfortable short stay.

Generous Shared Spaces

Had a great time at Brae cottage. Angie the owner kept in touch and came to say hello when we arrived. Our room on the ground floor was really nice and had a private bathroom and shower we also had our own entrance to the cottage. There was always stuff in the fridge to eat for breakfast and if you wanted to cook there were ample pots pans etc , we never tried the hot tub as weather was a bit chilly , this is a fantastic cottage immaculate and spacious , if we come back to Skye we’ll be staying here. 

Brilliant 

Myself, husband and 3 kids aged 13, 11 and 7 stayed for 3 nights at Brae Cottage. We booked out the entire top floor, so 3 bedrooms.
The house itself is fantastic, very spacious kitchen/living areas. Fresh breakfast goods were brought daily, along with daily cleaning.
Angie the owner was fantastic. 
The hot tub, the kids loved it and was great to relax in after a day exploring the beautiful isle of skye. 
Dunvegan is a great central location for exploring other parts of the island.
We ate at the The Old School, highly recommended! We also ate at the fish and chip shop in Dunvegan which was fab, and took a trip to Portree for a chinese which was also fab.
The bedrooms were very spacious and very clean. Great showers in both the en-suite and bathroom. 
Midges - absolute nightmare! 
Overall we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend Brae Cottage!

Great stay

It may look stark on the outside, but the interior is modern and comfortable and beautiful with a never-ending view. There were large, open, shared common areas with a well-stocked kitchen that was replenished daily with breakfast foods.
Angie, the owner, was very friendly and helpful in procuring a last minute dinner reservation for us and helping answer questions. The laundry room was helpful after a week in Scotland, but I could not find an iron or ironing board. The location is great for visiting Dunvegan Castle, eating in a five-star restaurant, The Three Chimneys, and touring the peninsula. A very quiet and relaxing, (note the hot tub!) location, not heavy with tourists like Portree, just what we wanted.
