Had a lovely weekend  break & nice  things are getting back to normal (covid-19)& hand sanitizer was available to use at the entrance.  room was lovely & clean & the shower is very powerful, i would stay here again as it's  perfect  location  for the beach & shops.

Nice little  break

After my review in October, I ended by saying 'we would be back' and 'back' we did! Again, absolutely delighted with our stay. The room, ensuite and wider guest house were as clean, welcoming and comfortable as before. Absolutely no drop in standards with a continued competitive rate for the room only basis. We don't visit Hastings very much but will continue to use this lovely guest house in the future.

And back we came!

We stayed at the Pheonix with friends for the weekend and was absolutely delighted with the cleanliness, style and overall comfort. Everything was in the room that was needed - Iron and hairdryer to mini fridge, wine glasses, corkscrew; there was nothing that was needed. The room and ensuite were a delight - stylish, airy and very very clean and comfortable. Thank you so much - we will be back!

A little bit of luxury in Hastings

Fantastic guesthouse. Really clean, modern updated decor.
Shower superb and powerful.
No breakfast/dinner .
You can get free parking scratch cards from reception to allow you to park in the car park opposite from 4pm to 11am the next day

No need to battle here

We stayed at the Phoenix Guest House for 2 nights and it was excellent.  The room was spotless, the bed was comfy, the shower was fab and there was a modern yet comfortable feel to it.  Easy access even though we arrived very late - the key safe system works really well.  The location is great too - really short walk to loads of lovely cafe's, restaurants and shops, and of course, the sea!  I would recommend Hastings as a weekend getaway - it's calmer and nicer than Brighton but with all the variety and a lovely seafront.

Fabulous stay at the Phoenix

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, and had a very comfortable stay, the room / bathroom were extremely clean. The owners went out of their way to talk to us which was very nice knowing who had provided you with this comfortable stay. Hotel is well located for all amenities shops / restaurants / Beach. Owners have also provided information in the room for getting around and where to eat. Victoria and Ed you should be proud of your hospitality and the hotel, we will definitely be using this as our home when in hastings which is usually 2 or 3 times a year.


Lovely homely Hotel 1st Class

This small hotel is run by a charming couple. Easy self-check in, and the room has everything you would need (but don't normally find in small hotels) - coffee, tea, kettle, fan, shampoo, cutlery and microwave available, umbrellas by the front door. The owners shared many local suggestions for day trips and country pubs.

Everything you need

Great room and en suite, thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. Spotlessly clean. Lovely hosts. Would definitely recommend and stay here again! Street was a bit run down which obviously wasn't the guest houses' fault!
Hastings is a great town with lots to do for families, couples or single travellers. 

Amazing accommodation!

Parking was not an issue although we had to pay for parking during the day. Everything else was perfect. The room was clean and modern, the staff were kind and helpful, and we didn’t run out of things to do in Hastings. The nightlife was also really good - I cant’t remember what the club was called but it was joined to a bar and went underground. 

Would definitely recommend staying in the guest house as it was so close to everything too. Only a couple of minutes to walk into town.
