We travelled to Snowdonia from Devon and on arrival at our booked cottage found there was a sudden problem that had occurred not the owners fault which meant our stay could not go ahead. After many phone calls looking for alternatives found nothing and we had to set off home. Last resort put a few posts on Facebook owners groups and out of the blue got a message from Hazel at Caebetran in Brecons offering a cottage. Could not believe it. What a fabulous relief. And I can 9nlu repeat what has been said by others Hazel Gwynn and son Chris are the loveliest most we could ever hope to meet and the recently converted Granary barn was superb the beds were so comfy. Hazel could not do enough for us. There were plenty of provisions provided just in case we ran short of anything. Lovely location with fabulous views. Dad Gwynn and their son Chris also helped with the welcoming feel not to forget Taffy the lovely sheepdog always ready for a cuddle. Thank you Caebetran family for saving our family holiday.

Just the loveliest hosts

I’m not sure if this allowed, but it should be. We didn’t actually stay here, but definitely would have (if they had availability) based on the customer services we received. My friends and I were looking for a last minute 1 night stay due to being let down elsewhere. I sent messages, emails and called loads of different places. Most that I spoke to were sympathetic but were full. Nearly all that I messaged returned with a short “We’re full. Sorry” Hazel however was amazing. She sent us a lovely message saying we sounded like her type of guest and she wished she could have accommodated us, but was sadly full. She has a lovely sense of humour and it is her people skills and customer service expertise that will make sure that I seek out her property next time we go away. Thank you Hazel. Hope to see you sometime soon! 

What a lovely lady

We stayed for a week in ‘The Stables’ - Hazel and Gwynn are so friendly and welcoming. It is a ‘working’ farm and they are busy, but never too busy to stop and chat. We certainly made ‘new friends’ from day one.
The accommodation is home from home, you will want for nothing, Hazel has thought of everything, even if you find you need something or have forgotten it, Hazel will find it for you. 
There is so much to see and do from this idyllic base, but if you want you can just walk for miles from the accommodation and then relax with a glass of chilled wine on your return. The views from the garden are incredible, morning, day, evening or even night time watching the stars....
Loved our time there, will be returning

Excellent hospitality 😀

First rate place to stay in the Brecon Beacons.Stayed in the Stables self catering unit-very well appointed.
Hospitality from Hazel and Gwyn second to none and breakfasts excellent so anyone going will not be disappointed.Great restaurants nearby so for a rural retreat highly recommended

Farm B&B

I stayed at Caebetran B&B while I was working at the Hay Festival and have now returned for pleasure. My visit was made extra special by Hazel, one of the most wonderful hosts I have ever met. You arrive as a visitor and leave as a friend. The location is idyllic with a fresh pot of tea to greet you on arrival and a delicious breakfast cooked to order in the morning. Ideal for visiting the local towns of Hay and Talgarth and exploring the Brecon Beacons. Own transport a must. 

Return Visit for Pleasure not Business

My husband and I have just returned from a four day break in Caebetran's self catering cottage, refreshed by the wonderful views of the snow sprinkled Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains, the bracing air, the proximity to scenic walks as well as the warm welcome provided by Hazel, Gwyn and Chris. The cottage is immaculately clean, cosy and well equipped, thank you Hazel and Gwyn.

A wonderful post Christmas break

We had a great stay here last weekend at the b&b.  Hazel was a great hostess - very warm welcome with tea and toasted hot cross buns!!  It is a working farm and she had been busy with the lambs when we arrived - but she made us very welcome.  
 
The room was very nice and spacious and bathroom although quite small certainly big enough for us.  There is a fridge as you come into the farmhouse for guests use and there was fresh milk in it.  Handy to chill wine or snacks. The lounge was nice to relax in which we made use of.   

The breakfast was great, one of the best we’ve had.  All cooked fresh to order and at a time that suits you.  Hazel was happy to chat with us about the farm and life in general- she also recommended some places to eat before we arrived- the Three Horseshoes pub and castle of Brecon hotel both excellent.

Our only little grumble was that the boiler on the landing was right behind our bed so you did hear it at night- I am not the best sleeper so it took me a night to get used to it!!!

Fanta location in beautiful Welsh countryside- plenty of walking to do from the farm or from nearby villages.  Thanks for a great stay.
