These rooms are ideally situated in Exeter, close to the City Centre and the University and although our room was small, it was exceptionally well designed and packed in a huge number of pleasant and attractive features. We didn't sample the breakfast but we really enjoyed the stay there. Comfortable beds, great ambience and helpful host. 

Hard to fault

This is the 4th time we have stayed at Woodbine and once again we weren't disappointed. You are made to feel welcome as soon as you go through the door.  It has a very homely atmosphere and the rooms are cosy and well styled. There is fresh coffee, cafetiere,milk,tea in your room and variety of fruit and herbal teas are also available. The breakfast is AMAZING and delivered to your room in a hamper - this includes fresh milk,orange juice,hot bacon sandwiches, granola,fresh fruit,yoghurts,pastry, croissants and a small box of cereal.  Certainly enough to keep you going all morning. The location is perfect for the city centre and you are only 5 min walk from the 2 main train stations Central and St Davids.  There is parking onsite for one vehicle or you are issued a permit for the on street parking if this space is taken.  Julie is an amazing host and we always enjoy our stay here.

Home From Home

Only stayed one night but suitable for a 3 to 5 day stay IMO. 5 to 10 minute walk through a safe area to the Cathedral and Quay. 

Comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast that is hearty enough to carry you through to lunch and then some. 

Parking onsite first come first serve was definitely a bonus. 

We would stay here again. 

Clean comfortable convenient 

Room was clean comfortable with a lovely outlook to the park. The generous breakfast hamper set us up for the day and the prosecco to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary was a lovely touch. We certainly hope to return. Thank you. 

Excellent Accommodation in a central location

We returned for our second visit last night and it was just as good as our first, if not better! 
Clean room, comfortable double bed, lovely fresh and soft linen, quiet rooms, cafetiere, kettle, yummy biscuits. 
The breakfast hamper is the best part- brought to your room - it's so lovely to be able to laze around and have your breakfast in bed.
The free parking (on the drive or given a permit) is great. 
Julie, you are a wonderful host- genuine, warm and welcoming. Thank you again and we'll be back without a doubt x


A little gem 💎 everything you would want from a b & b and more x

Fabulous find and we will be back.  Stayed 2 nights and as we wanted a lie in on 1st morning we only booked breakfast for 2nd morning. A brilliant idea as it means you can have breakfast in bed and not have to get dressed to go down to a dining room. Much more relaxed and lovely food too.  5min walk to town centre. 
Room is clean and fresh with plenty of storage space. Comfy bed with spare pillow and blanket. Tea and coffee in room with a caffetiere and proper coffee. There is also a tray of different teas in the hall if you prefer. Although close to road it is surprisingly quiet. Some people might think the ensuite is small but I would call it compact. It has the necessities and is clean. What more do you need.
We had 2 small bottles of prosecco waiting for us as it was my husband's birthday which was  lovely thought.
Parking in drive is limited but there is on street parking and you get given a parking permit.
