The location and team are faultless. Lovely room and very clean. Our room was at the top and was incredibly hot and the windows are restricted on how far they open. They do provide a fan though.

Great location

Lovely pub in the middle of Conwy. Called in today for lunch. I had the fish and chips plus drink that was on offer. Excellent value for £12.50. Husband had steak ciabatta which was cooked perfectly. 
The pub was lovely and clean and staff friendly. Would recommend, good offers on food as well Monday to Thursday. Will certainly be returning

Fish and chips

After a visit to Conwy Castle, we wanted a pub lunch. We walked in and realised it was pokey but ok. I stood for a few minutes waiting to ask if there were more tables than visible. Who I can only assume were the manager and shift manager were chatting and I waited in the hope they'd notice I had a question, nope. So we walked on and sat down. Stood up to order when I realised that only half the menu was at the table. Ordered two Fish and chips and an 8oz steak. That was after a guy got served before me who turned up after me in the queue. Husband was mugged off with a tiny tail end cod and I got charged £2.80 for a tasteless "whiskey sauce" and when I mentioned no Beer battered onion rings was merely told "Oh did you not get told we have ran out?" erm no but apparently I'm paying the same whatever. The steak was a beautiful flavoursome cut and cooked perfectly but that's all I can say really. Overpriced, small, missing food, sticky tables sat next to a door that kept wafting the smell of urine towards us. Definitely gets most of it's trade from poor Castle visitors that don't know any better.Please avoid if you're wandering as a visitor.

We booked room#5, seaview and it didn't disappoint!! Although not the biggest attic room, the use of space is great with the bedroom, a dressing/ working area and a great en-suite. Warm and cosy for March, no skimping on the central heating!! And always, that every changing view!! The pub downstairs is snug, but plenty of outside space for the summer months. Bar well priced, pub grub a bargain on a Mon- Thu. Both the bar staff and the owner were super, great people skills. Don't let room only put you off, there are more enough really good eateries in Conwy...get out and about and take your pick!! 

Room with a View....

Visited twice whilst in Cowy for the weekend for the breakfast which is delicious. £10 for full English with chips and a drink.
Dogs welcome and football shown in a none rowdy environment.
Staff are friendly and we will definitely return when in the area. 

Delicious breakfast (great value) 

On arrival despite already having provided credit card details on line to secure the booking, we were presented with a piece of paper and told to write our credit card details including expiry dates, CVC code and full card number plus other personal details on  the paper.   We were very concerned as to why we were being asked to do this and could see no justifiable reason for the request..On arriving in the room the runner on the bed was observed to be filthy and looked as though a pizza meal had been served on the bed without the use of plates.

The room had good sea views and was quiet and warm.   

Cleanliness and administration let this hotel down

We had a great stay at this property, it was perfect for a weekend escape. The location couldn’t be better, the host was super kind (thanks for everything!) and the room was clean and nicely upgraded. Smooth check in and check out. Fairly priced and a better overall experience and cleanliness than a similar accommodation we experienced in Conwy. 

Perfect for our weekend in Conwy

Our first time to Conwy and our visit to the George and Dragon. We arrived at about 2.30 pm on Saturday 23rd September. Ordered our main meals and drinks. When we finished our mains, I went to the bar and asked for the suite menu. It was then that I was told that the kitchen was closed. We could not order our sweet. This is the first time ever that we have not finished our meal because they had closed their kitchen. They should have told us that this might happen, as we would have eaten elsewhere. I was fuming!

We have been disappointed with all pubs in Conwy this unfortunately added to the list- beer garden outside was full of rubbish and weeds everywhere. Womens toilets were both engaged so had to use the mens not sure why that would be the case- need a good decorating and update.

Old musty pub

Great pub in Conwy town. 
I’ve been here numerous times for drinks and always had a friendly welcome. 
They have a great selection of drinks and regular offers. 
The new owners have worked really hard to improve the premises and have done a great job. 
The pub itself is really cozy and welcoming. 
The beer garden at the back is spacious and well equipped with heaters and umbrellas for all weather use. 
It was really sad to read a recent fake review that this pub received. 
Don’t believe everything you read on trip advisors and check the pub out for yourself.
