We had heard that we would be in for a treat from friends who had already experienced the Bull, but nothing prepared me for how good it was going to be. We did the 10 course pairing menu in their Japanese restaurant and I can honestly say it was one of the best (if not the best) dining experience we have ever enjoyed. Everything was perfect and nothing was too much trouble. The food, surroundings, staff, in fact everything was a masterclass in how to things are done correctly. We can’t wait to return and do it all over again!

Totally memorable dining experience!

A nice place to stay.We selected the rooms below to avoid the long haul up the stairs near  the Inn .There is a car park in the Inn (only for3 to 4 cars).But a 5 min walk away is a spacious and safe car park. Its via a  back alley by the Church and you see the glorious flowers tended by the flat owners as you walk past,
Burford boasts of some fine eateries and pubs.Smashing tea rooms and shops with little artefacts. They have a friendly information centre and yes, they have the oldest Chemist Shop in England!The Inn serves a sumptuous breakfast. There are lovely tea rooms and eating places in Burfoard.But do book  in advance for dinner. !We were usually off  after breakfast-Oxford is not far and the countryside is picturesque like all of the Cotswolds! We stayed from 14 to 21 Sep 18.

Bang in Main Street of the Town!

The bedroom and bathroom were clean, comfy bed, decent towels and a good nights sleep was had.  Unfortunately breakfast is a mixed experience.  An excellent choice of cereals, fruit, seeds, yoghurt, you could not complain at all, but unfortunately the cooked buffet does not come up to the same standard.  The hot plates do not keep the food hot, tepid at best and we resorted to asking for our breakfast to be microwaved.  Understaffed at breakfast, long wait for coffee, juice and toast and the first morning tables not cleared, not the fault of the staff who were polite and very helpful.  

Pleasant room and clean

A wonderful 15C coaching house in the centre of Burford. Superbly friendly and knowledgeable staff, a good breakfast with a huge range of choices.  English breakfast cooked to order. Try and get the Trafalgar room with its sloping floors en suite full bathroom and full of original hustory.  Check out the bullet hole in the windiw frame  dating from the Civil War riots. Stick your finger down it to feel the musket ball still embedded in it.

GREAT HOTEK FULL OF HISTORY

Lovely old place . Lovely 4 poster room the Nell Gwynn overlooking the Main Street . Take ear plugs but had great sleep the bed is lovely . Clean room nice bathroom , sure it’s not pristine but if you want new go to Premier inn . This is hundreds of years old and very interesting . Lovely polite staff and amazing breakfast buffet we were stuffed . Treat yourself , very good value for money .

Weekend break

We have stayed at the Bull on a few occasions and love the place. Burford is such a beautiful village and the Bull is one of the fantastic buildings there. The bedrooms that we have stayed in are so quaint and full of character as is the rest of tbe hotel. The food in the lovely restaurant is excellent too. Staff are always polite courteous and helpful, can't wait to stay again.

Just spent 2 nights there a lovely little hotel, clean & tidy, breakfast very good plenty of choice, only one little criticism first morning thy only had scrambled eggs I asked a waitress if I could have poached one she said no we don't do them or fried, the next morning I heard someone asking the same question a different waitress & she said yes thy could do them, I questioned this she said we don't advertise it but we will do them. We were a bit disappointed thy weren't doing evening meal, but there were plenty of places to eat. We were in room 3 a bit noisy as it faced the main road & it does carry a lot of heavy traffic , but thy do supply ear plugs. Nicely situated on the Main Street.

Very good

We stayed for 2 nights B&B. On arrival we asked for room with a walk-in shower. Manager Kali was happy to arrange this on the spot. The hotel building is ancient and has lots of interesting features. Our bedroom had a stone exterior but inside was modern and comfortable. It was immaculate. Great shower and spacious bathroom. Good quality towels and range of toiletries. The bed was king size and comfortable. The wardrobe was large with plenty of hangers. The central heating was efficient. Breakfast was great. Extensive range of fruit salads, home made jams, cereals, cold meats even Greek yoghurt with a honeycomb. A freshly cooked breakfast and good coffee.
Kali was efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Couldn’t, be better.

Room was okay very clean comfortable bed.
The breakfast was amazing homemade muesli huge choice of food.
Staff really helpful and very knowledgeable of the area and the history of the area.
The restaurant wasn't open for meals but plenty of choice in the village

Beautiful village

We stayed for two nights from Christmas Eve to Boxing Day the staff were really friendly the rooms were spotless the breakfast was brilliant and was great value even though was holiday season the staff were always happy to help highly recommended will be coming back
