Fabulous stay with friends for a birthday celebration. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful! The room was super clean and warm with the most comfortable bed! We didn’t have dinner but the menu looked amazing, and the Scottish  breakfast was delicious! What a great hotel in a truly beautiful location.

Great hotel in a beautiful location

We had a wonderful stay here with 2 other couples for New Year’s Eve . We had the gala dinner which was lovely and very substantial. I am coeliac and they provided gluten free options for me which were great. 
The views were breathtaking and the staff very friendly and helpful especially Tara and Jonny and James the boss Thank you everyone for making our stay so fabulous

Beautiful hotel breathtaking views

Great warm room great location great atmospheric pub only to be let down by atrocious food !!!
Had an evening meal last Thursday, it was the sharing platter chicken wings 4 ,chicken strips4 very small portion of calamari and 4 half pieces of bread dipped in garlic oil and they charged us £20 for that when I bit into the chicken wing it was stone cold I was nearly sick manager say oh there must be something wrong with the heat  prob I don't think so thought it couldn't get any worse but it did at breakfast with the absolute tastless garbage that was served up appalling!!!! With out doubt the worst breakfast I have ever had in a b and b and I've had a few ,I think this please needs to find a new chef or cook that knows what they are doing needless to say we won't be returning!!!!!

Awful food let down

Great traditional bar and pub restaurant. The bar offered 3 real ales from Fyne Ales, served by a very friendly and knowledgeable barmaid. The restaurant offers a traditional pub menu and, again, the servers were friendly, helpful, and efficient. Perfect place to refresh after a day walking on the Three Lochs Way.

Lovely meal in a beautiful setting! Our waitress Alix couldn’t do enough for us and took the time to explain some of the dishes on the menu.
Will definitely return on our way to Inveraray next summer.

Lovely experience 

Our stay was really great and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast, which was delicious. The restaurant an pub have a nice atmosphere and I really liked the charming interior of our room with bath tub. Thank you very much! 

Nice hotel with pub and charming interior 

We purchased this through an itison voucher where we were given DB&B and a bottle of prosecco all for £99. At the time of booking we payed extra to upgrade to a superior from room for an extra £15. Value for money this was an outstanding deal where we had a spacious room with everything you require, a large smart TV and a table and 2 chairs at the window giving fantastic loch views. Staff were incredibly friendly and nothing was a bother. When it came to dinner we had a specific menu to choose from as it was a voucher which had 4 starters, 4 mains, and 4 desserts to choose from....all choices were great. We specifically choose the calamari starter along with the Mac n Cheese main....outstanding. 

Breakfast for us was 9am where we had a choice of cereals. juices, yogurts etc before they took your main order. Full Scottish breakfast was the choice and there was more than enough on this plate to last you the day. Plenty of tea/coffee was available all served in a very relaxed setting.

We have booked again for May again in another Superior room as we enjoyed ourselves so much we wanted to experience the Village Inn once more. Even if you're not looking to stay overnight it has a fantastic lunch menu in a cosy bar  with a fabulous selection of drinks....give it a go you wont be disapointed.

Whilst staying in Loch Lomond for the night with my boyfriend we decided to go out to eat and the Village Inn we thought had a nice variety on the menu and looked for somewhere slightly fancier to treat ourselves to. 

When we arrived, we were soaking wet after walking 13 minutes from the Long Loch hotel in the pouring rain so it was not the best of starts but at the entrance, it said either bar to the left or a restaurant to the right. 

So we went to the restaurant area and waited to be seated and we waited there for about 5 minutes until someone said unless you have a booking just head through to the bar and order through there. I think this should have been clearly signed as we did just have to wait there for some time before someone came to speak to us, there were probably only 5 tables and 1 high table with chairs for you to eat or drink on. 

I went up to the bar and I asked for a blood orange gin and lemonade for her to say they did not have that gin flavour which is fair enough, so I was asking what the other gin flavours were and she just seemed like she did not want to be there. I got a Koppleburg Strawberry and Lime gin and asked for lemonade for her to say we dont have any! I was shocked as I thought it is not even that late and you do not have any lemonade so I asked if she had a Sprite and she said oh yes we have 1 left! She then pours in a double measure of my gin and my boyfriends rum without even asking if we wanted a single so you are automatically charged double the price which I think is poor. 

I ordered mac and cheese and my boyfriend ordered the haddock which was massive and nearly hanging off the plate with chunky chips and garden peas. Both meals were nice, I would actually highly recommend the macaroni as it was honestly delicious! 


Nice food but overpriced!

Great experience at the Village Inn. Made my dog feel super welcome and was fussed over a lot. Food and drink selection was awesome as well as the service. Friendly staff who couldn’t do more to help out. Our waitress Amy couldn’t do more for us!

Great time

My family and I were visiting the area so popped by the Village Inn for dinner one evening. We had a good meal, fairly priced. The only let down for us was a poor lamb main very little lamb, potatoes we’re poor and the presentation not great. Otherwise the curry, steak and home made crumble were good.
