I stayed at Wash and Wills Hotel for a week during which time the staff got to know me and would greet me by name. This is a comfortable hotel located in the midst of a series of beautiful gardens. I loved that the pool is right next to the dining/social area so we could watch the kids swim while the adults chatted in the shade. Rooms were clean. Breakfasts were delicious. I didn't eat any other meals at the hotel, but from what I could tell, there's a full bar and a somewhat Americanized menu available. The hotel is in a good location, near downtown Mbale, and within a short drive to the Mbale Museum, Zoo, and other attractions. The price is reasonable. There were several different conference groups that used the hotel while I was there. It seemed like there were plenty of places for them to meet as well as socialize, and their gatherings never imposed on what we were doing. This is a great place to kick back and relax.

Great staff, great price, beautiful grounds

We stayed as our family for about the 4th time here. We love it. Good value, nice staff, good breakfasts, good pizza. Rooms are clean and good size. Grounds are spacious and smart. Quiet in the evening.

Great hotel, great staff, great price

Wash and Wills hotel in Mbale Uganda is a good hotel for holiday. They offer very good services, nice rooms both double and standard. A nice swimming pool just outside the restaurant. Great garden dinners at the garden twice a week. Looking for a holiday, try Mbale eastern Uganda and get your comform in Wash and Wills hotel. Mount Elgon is visible some distance from the hotel, but you get a clear view of Wanale hills. A team of humble receptionists are available both day and night at your service. I plan to visit there for a holiday

Beautiful scenery at Mbale Eastern Uganda

I stayed here for over a week. Staff were very (exceptionally!) courteous, helpful and welcoming. My room, which was in the main block and looked away from the courtyard, was kept very clean, with sheets and towels changed daily. The bed was comfortable, there was a shower with instant hot water, it was quiet, and there was a decent breakfast. There is a lovely pool and gardens. WiFi worked nearly all the time. I was a little disconcerted to find the food prices increase by 50% in the middle of my stay, and the food, whilst adequate, could be improved. I also tried to pay by visa at the end of my stay, but the machine was not working, so was sent into town (on a national holiday) to get cash, which fortunately I managed to do. I would recommend this hotel.

Clean, comfortable and welcoming

I spent some time here, and the environment was so calm and re-freshening, the pool side and the Hotel Rooms, the meals were so great and delicious, I highly recommend you do not leave Mbale without stepping here for a meal.

Place for Fun

My husband and i had a road trip from Kampala to Soroti. We googled for affordable hotels in Mbale and Wash and Wills popped up. It is the best and i recommend that if you are passing by Mbale, do not bother with the rest. The hot water was good and the service was amazing. Great place.

the Best in Mbale town

Nice Place, big pool and best "Sauna" in Mbale.  Food is ok, but not special. Some rooms are nice, with view other are very small with almost no light.  So if you get a small room - change it !!  Over all: nice ! 

Nice Place

The Staff made this two-week stay exceptional.My wife and I tend to be "relational" toward other people we encounter, and encounters with the staff were satisfying in this regard. Not intrusive nor invasive, but genuinely supportive and engaginging, the Staff (plus the cleanliness and overall pleasantness of the facility itself) made our stay at Wash & Wills enjoyable.

Pleasantly Satisfying

During the December holiday friends and I wanted a place to hangout and reflect in the year 2019 had been and just laugh out the stress as we look into the new year. Wash and Wills offered the cool and quiet environment with great meals. They have a DJ on set who serendes the guests. Meals are affordable. They have a good swimming pool and out door bar. You gotta be there

the environment, the rooms, the gardens, the gym, very nice. other facilities like hairdresser, available. food is fine, breakfast is fair. very friendly staff. very nice swimming pool area, and water very clean in spite the rain.
