Mavi Tuana Hotel

This is the third time I stayed in this hotel. We were 3 and they had a room for three people so this saved us money. Staff still very helpful and the hotel is clean. Although it is an affordable hotel but the design is friendly for handicapped people. This is still my number one place to go when I visit Van.

Still affordable and clean

I stayed for 2 nights and it was an excellent stay 
yes it’s 3 stars hotel but what makes the difference is nice staff and the location of the hotel, only 200 meters to get to the famous Cumhuriyet cd and so many cafes and restaurants

Amazing staff

I stayed in this hotel for 4 days. I can say that I am nearly impressed about how much the price is suitable and how much this hotel offers. I stayed for 90 try a day. I could say that the rooms were clean, staff is helpful (thanks to Mr Fatih, Bilal & Ayhan), location is in the city center and a pretty decent breakfast. No parking space but you park your car in the narrow streets around the hotel. Also the hotel staff are keen in making you park your car in a place where you don't have to pay any extra money. İf you are not interested in a fancy hotel but you just won't a clean hotel in the city center that provides a good breakfast and especially staff is willing to help then this hotel should be your choice. I highly recommend this hotel for its price range. 

Very good for that price ranga

I have been at Mavi Tuana at June and I would say it was the highest quality for such a low price we paid. We were a 10 person group and the manager made a good discount for us.
There were regular room service and good quality breakfast. Wifi service is free and you should register a user-pass at reception for each person who wants to use it. there were a problem for iPhone users but it was not a serious problem ;-)
Staff are so welcoming and friendly, specially mr. Fatih at reception who helped us a lot.

The best for cheapest price

I stayed 4 nights at Mavi Tuana Hotel in Van, Turkey recently and found it to be quite convenient and pleasant. The staff were friendly and very helpful and can arrange good tours to nearby archeological sights. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've had in all of Turkey, with local honey, halvah, delicious local herbed cheese and yogurt and a large variety of ripe, fresh fruits along with the usual Turkish breakfast foods. As an older woman I felt very safe in Van and it's surrounds and in the area of the hotel. Tourism is down in eastern Turkey due to the Syrian conflict but I felt no danger or repercussions in the area at all. And it is not near Syria.

Don't Stay Here !
Me, My mother stayed for 4 nights.
1 Star Hostel Maximum.
- At check-in Bed sheets was dirty, blood stain  
- Housekeeping Daily service was very Bad, Room did not cleaned, bed sheets haven't changed for 3 days until our protestation, Bathroom was always wet.
- There were no Tissue box at Room
- There were no Iron unlike Booking.com confirmation.
- WiFi did not work in our room.
- Breakfast was dirty, Tomato were dirty, Bug in the Jam, They collect Half-eaten stuff from peoples dishes and put it on the serving table.
- lettuce on the breakfast was too old, yellow and not eatable.
- They have cheated about Free Parking, They don't have Parking at all. They help you to find a Parking lot beside the street.
- There were no Ice facilities.
- One lamp from two was broken in the room.
- They shut most of lights off and dark in the shared areas, because of electricity cost.

Don't Stay !!!!!!, Lots of other Hotels are near.

At the Mavi Tuana hotel in Van you really get five star treatment. The hotel is centrally located and you can easily walk to the city centre for restaurants or shopping and the local minibus depot is nearby. The hotel is in a quiet street and the spacious rooms and bathrooms are clean and in excellent condition with lovely bedding. All the staff are  helpful and kind and will do anything to assist you although most do not speak any English , but that really is no problem with such kind people. The breakfast is a real treat and should not be missed. The wifi is free and works well. Will stay here again and highly recommend it if you plan to visit the lovely city of Van.

Wonderful hotel

Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff. The room was huge, good facilities and the breakfasts some the best we've had in 5 weeks tripping around Turkey. We decided to check out some of the local attractions and the hotel staff introduced us to Harun. He is a local guide, specialising in taking small groups on custome trips, ie you pick the places you'd like to see. We had a fantastic day. Harun was very knowledgeable, and also great fun. He went out of his way to help us fix a problem with our rental car and didn't want anything for it. He just wants visitors to have wonderful experiences here. We did, the hotel was a great base to explore town and the attractions around Van well worth staying a couple of days? (Find Harun at www.ararat-trek.com)
