Neverland hostel just has a good name because of the past management. I stayed for several times in the past but bat the manager is change. It was worst. Very dirty bathrooms. beds was uncofortable. No air
 conditioner in the room. Its very hot and humid. The manager was very rude and has bad behavier. Breakfast is owefull. Just 3  small piece of bread, 2 slice of apple and little piece of chees. One tea OR caffee. While they write in site, the coffee and tea is free. That is lie. The wifi was very weak and it does work just in loby. You dont have internet in the room.

Worst experience I had

10 bed dorm isnt too tight and best value for the cheapest dorm in Istanbul. Nice social area downtown, but not exactly comfortable and sort of like a meeting place for cliques of late teens/early 20 somethings,there is a pretty decent kitchen and fridge downstairs with free water and also cheap laundry service, decent basic light breakfast included.   But the room lockers broken, mattresses worn out, bad pillows, few outlets... and a lot of people with no class talking loudly in the hallway, not enough general socializing.  Bathrooms good but always messy.  The Staff is nice...  not super attentive but helpful... Note:  because of price, this place fills up quickly. Get a reservation before... and pay for a few days in advance or expect to be told to pack up as your bed has been taken.  I do like this hostel

Cheap fairly good hostel near Istiklal

This is a very cheap hostle with a good location but I can not recommend it to anyone cause It was dirty and not comfortable. Bathroom was dirty and so dark and There was no airconditioner in rooms and when I was there it was so hot and humid. There are lots of cleaner and nicer hostles in Istanbul. So do not come here!

Worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in

I booked a room for 8 people, but when I arrived in the bedroom there was 9. I asked to the staff and the guy said they changed the room, and there aren't anymore bedrooms for 8. The breakfast was ok, not the best, but no the worst as well. The staff was not really friendly, but no time was impolite.

It's just ok

The location was good, not far from tramway. Many kiosks and cafés nearby. The showers and toilets were very dirty just like the rooms. We didn't get bedsheets although we were promised on the place to get. Staff's English was okay. The vibes of the reception and the design was spot on but I'd rather had a clean bathroom instead.

Good location, bad hygiene

Neverland Hostel is one of those places where you like (buy into) the concept - relaxed hippy vibe - or you don't. If you don't then really don't bother booking, there are other hostels in the area.
If you like the idea and hippy vibe then you'll enjoy staying at Neverland as the location is convenient and a real mix of people stay there.
Some things to be aware of.... Beds are metal and very noisy! No wifi in rooms and what there is in the downstairs lounge is patchy. No towels. No locks on room doors. Beds are on a first come/first served so if you want a bottom bunk good luck. 
The hammam around the corner is not for the homophonic. 
Mostly downhill from the bars and clubs around Taksim Square :)
Staff appear a little cold to approach, but are very knowledgeable about the city when asked.
The easiest way to get there is to walk up the slight hill from Tophane tram stop.

Convenient, cheap but not for everyone

I was there last week... I had a dormitory room.
Everything was well but when I took that bed i had a hope to have a sheet for my bed i didn't have... But the people of there was nice.
Also i didn't have sandal for take a shower

It was good and cheap

I'm sorry but this hostel doesn't deserve even this rating. WiFi is only available in the lobby. I got room on 4th floor, only stairs no elevator, needed​ to come to lobby on ground floor just to use WiFi. Very small room with just sort of a mattress on floor, no air-conditioning, acceptable but to my shock, no fan as well. After coming over here, you come to know that pedestal fan is on rent. Walls full of abusive language written all over.

Holoday

I made a reservation for 12 nights and when I arrived he checked me with this phrase "your room is taken by other people" it's not professional. .. this hotel is for the druggist and all night is the brothel .... impossible to sleep ... evi by experience

Very horrible hostel

I can not recommend this place to stay even if it is cheap enough. Hostels are not about super comfy places or high demand of service or clearness, but still should be some basics. Happened so that i arrived too early around 8am, reception guy let me leave my bags because check-in is not till 1:00, which is fine. I came back to hostel at 12:30 asking if they can check me in half of hour earlier, but anyway earlier 1:00 they didn't let me in. So they are not very flexible about it, they don't have to, but still left weird feeling. Dormitory rooms are on each store(i guess 5 generally), to find my room(on 3rd store) i had to go up and down about three times, because, firstly, i couldn't find the room, then i had to ask again(my fault couldn't understand the guy), and at last it was closed by key, so i had to ask to open it. I don't get why staff can not show to new person the way, room and bed? When as soon as i paid guy just told me to go up and find the room number 10, bed is available. Sometimes happens that travellers are exhausted from flight or long walking around till check-in time or all together! It was first moment i didn't like. Breakfast is included, few pieces of cucumber, slices of tomato, olives, butter and jam i guess. Not really much but quite reasonable for price i think. The worst thing is facilities. Bathroom and toilet are disgusting, dirty and dark. Shelves are half broken, crane on the third store in the toilet splaches in all directions. So be carefull with that. No air condintioning in rooms, so if you go summertime, it will be extremely hot in there. No charging spot in room, no wifi. No lockers for valuable things, so you have to carry it all around. Lockers in the room were just all broken, not even one working. In the morning it was really noisy and if you close the window there is a threat to die with no air. I am sorry to leave this kind of review, but i feel bad about this place.
