I just left the green lodge after having a most relaxing Keni and his wife were both helpfull and motivative lovely couple it was very clean and all facilitys all in good order looking fowards to going back

My colleague and I stayed here a couple of weeks back. We were promptly picked up and dropped to the Airport. Keini and his wife were very accommodating and ensured our stay at the lodge was comfortable. The rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. I wouldn't mind staying there again. Good for families and people who love the village setting - waking up to the sound of roosters and dogs..I loved this place.

Feels Just Like Home

Home away from home

We stayed for only one night. It was fine for what we required. We had our own rental car and it was a little difficult to locate the house but we phoned the hosts who came to our aid and guided us in.
Very friendly and helpful people. Nice grounds and the house was tidy. Very spacious large rooms.
Not flash but adequate as a base close to town. (by car). 
Beds were comfortable. Shower was hot but the shower head probably needs replacing as the water flow out of it was a bit random.
Fridge freezer worked well. 
Definitely a village feel and dogs barking during the night was annoying. Roosters were fine though.

Single night stay entirely adequate

We (4) arranged to be uplifted and deposited at the airport by Keni who was very friendly as was his wife. they both lived next door. The house we were in was clean and tidy nothing flash but that was ok. We each had our own rooms and separate bath rooms. Not much on the ole t.v just news and religious programmes, the fridge  wasn't cold at all and would bleep in the middle of the night.  The grounds were well taken care of.  You will not have peace and quiet holiday check out the heading!  The lodge is in a rural area so lighting to the main road is limited. Sunday's are for worship so nothing is opened it would better to do your shopping the day before.  Try the restaurants in town,nice.  We found the signage confusing. It would be better though to hire a rental it would save a lot of hassle.  Once we found a sandy beach it was awesome.  We were shown around the main sites by Keni,good.

Roosters,Dogs & Bells all day and night, lol

Our family recently booked 2 houses at the Green lodge.  The size of the houses were great to cater for our large family that was visiting for a wedding. The caretaker was very friendly and helpful and also offered to show us around the island and to put down a traditional Umu for our family.  The property had basic furnishings and some of the rooms had portable fans.  The bathrooms were poorly maintained and unclean with the shower drains clogging up with each shower.  There was also a large infestation of ants that made their way from the kitchen to the beds.  I understand that ants are a normal part of the island life and that if there is food around they will find it, however they are very difficult to clean out of your bed.  The bedding and linen was aged and we couldn't quite tell if it was dirty/unchanged or just really old.  The fridge in one of the houses didn't work while the other fridge only barely kept things cold.  We ended up using the freezers as the fridge.  Our other family gifted us accomodation at another residence which we happily took and left this accomodation early.  For the quality of the accomodation I believe this to be quite an expensive stay however I believe with a good clean up and some new linen it would make all the difference.
