Good set up for single room, no windows but bunk bed with flat screen tv & small locker is just fine for a couple of nights.  NO luggage storage whastsoever! No staff before 2pm at the location so you can't come early to store luggage. Very inconvenient. Wet bathrooms have no windows, poor ventilation system & no shelving for clothes.

Won't come back again because of the bathroom & poor insulation between rooms.

Cheap single room, None Service, Poor Sound Proof, no 24 hr staff

Great location if you're taking taxis/buses, close to the city centre and friendly staff. The bar on the first level is a great area to unwind!

Room-wise, the walls are a bit thin, with sound travelling fairly easily, especially doors closing/opening etc.

It was fairly clean, and the beds were comfortable enough, granted I'm not the pickiest of guests.

Great stay overall

I only stayed 1 night at this hostel during a 17hr layover, which gave me time to rest but still explore a bit of Taipei.  I arrived just before midnight on a Monday so it was a bit hard to find the place as it was dark in front of the building, no lights or clear signs...you have to rely on the address & building number. 

The hostel is attached next to the bar that they run.  You have to go inside the small bar to check in and then walk back outside to enter the door on your left to go upstairs to get to your floor and room. I suggest you travel light or make sure you can carry your luggage up the stairs, as there is no elevator and the stairwell is narrow.  If you're on a layover like I was, then you shouldn't have to worry about luggage as you would leave it at the airport for your connecting flight.

The single bunk bed rooms are basic but clean and have everything you need - towels, slippers, toothbrush & toothpaste, hairdryer, etc..  There's a small locker/closet for your stuff, and the room even has cable TV.  The wifi also works very well in the rooms.  There were 2 shared bathrooms on my floor, which were nice, big, and clean.  

If you're looking for a social atmosphere, the hostel itself doesn't have that as each floor is just a set of rooms with 2 bathrooms, but no common area. The bar that they run downstairs is where you can do your socializing, if you'd like.

The hostel is within walking distance to the night market (though I didn't get to visit it as I arrived late), as well as Taipei 101.  To get around the city, you can take public transport or take Uber or a taxi.  For my needs, this hostel suited perfectly.

Budget accommodation in a good location

Single room: tiny but comfortable, they provide towels, toothbrush&paste, water boiler, hair dryer, slippers, even earplugs. Toothpaste is made in taiwan!! There is a sofa under the bed to watch TV, a closet to put luggage.
Location: 15 mins to taipei 101, 5 mins to night market (traditional morning market in the morning)
Staff: they run a fancy bar in the 1f, they are nice and helpful.
