We met Chu off the ferry and she was easy to talk to (English), and in addition to explaining the accomodation was able to organise good scooters plus snorkelling gear before guiding us to the hotel.  Very helpful when not a lot of English is spoken well around the marina.  The accomodation was rustic but clean and quiet and a perfect base for launching out into the ocean for snorkelling or diving or lapping the island on your scooter.  You're just a minute or two and your in the restaurant / marina area or head to the top of the mountain or around the island to see great views, amazing snokelling spots on the reef or stop at hot springs.  Chu and Jack were able to show all these on a simple map and provide access to anything we needed.  The pool was well out of action but that doesn't matter when you are on an amazing island with plenty of places to access the ocean.  Well worth a visit.

Great place to stay just away from the Ferry Port area

When my husband was looking for a hotel on Green Island, he chose Jack's Inn because of all the great reviews and being able to make arrangements prior to our arrival, and in English.  Jack and his staff greeted us warmly at the harbor, and he took our luggage to the inn while the other staff member took us to rent a moped.  (A moped is a must for getting around the island.)

The Inn is very well maintained, and the front desk staff was warm & friendly.  We had a fairly large room with strong AC and a comfortable bed.  The optional breakfast was reasonably priced and delicious.  Jack made all the diving arrangements for my husband so all he had to do was wait for the guide to come.

We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return!

Fantastic Place to Stay on Green Island!

Jack's Inn is ideal and the owner Jack is an OUTSTANDING host.
The breakfast is delicious with local food and with the best ingredients you can get in the island.
The room was very convenient, comfortable, clean, cozy and well decorated.
As we got stuck on the island for 24 hours due to poor weather conditions, ferrys and flights were cancelled and Jack was the most helpful guy we could hope for. He even borrowed us some extra money for emergencies. He picked us up in the harbour, went several times with us to the airport, to make sure we would leave as soon as possible because we had a connection flight the next day. He even arranged a taxi in Taitung to get us to Kaohsiung airport in time for our flight.
We are very thankful to him, who is the reflex of the taiwanese people kindness.

OUTSTANDING host

Great people and extremely accommodating scheduling activities around the island. Our trip to Green Island wouldn't have been the same without Jack and his wife. Rooms are spacious and clean so foreigners need not be wary.
